Is there a tutorial available for laser engraving and then filling in the hole with the desired colour of paint?

I mean if, I had access to an engraver.

how to align the keys, create the data files for the machine, which paint to use etc.

Everything you just said aside from the paint is specific to the engraver itself.

I can't help you with the paint question tho.  Some form of long-wearing acrylic is probably a good start.
