Hi again!
I recently got my new Filco and I couldn't be happier, however I do have a... minor issue. See, I'm using a Silverstone case for my PC hardware, and it's a bit odd in it's shape design, so all the things you'd normally connect to the back of your computer, I connect to the top of mine. Now that isn't an issue in itself, it's the combination of that and the fact that I have to put a small 'roof' on it after I'm done connecting the things to hide all the cables. While it looks great, it doesn't allow for long adapters, and as the connecting plug will just be too high and simply hit the 'roof'.
So, is there anyone that can find me a solution? I tried looking at amazon.co.uk for some side shaped PS/2 adapter, opposed to the standing up type, but I was unable to find anything. Found some USB to PS/2 adapter where you plug a USB cable into a USB port and on it there are PS/2 adapters. Not sure if that would work... So please, any suggestions!? :'(

Raise your roof. :p
But seriously, it sounds like you'll have a hard time finding a bent PS/2 adapter. As for the PS/2 to USB adapter, I would advise against that, since in many cases those adapters limit the functionality of the keyboards (specifically the KRO).

You could try something like this, which appears to have a shorter USB plug:

I'd also advise against converting back and forth between PS/2 and USB where possible.

So then the final question is.... why not just use USB?
-
He wants NKRO, I'm assuming...?
-
Why not use usb was also what I thought. NKRO is not really needed unless you get immense joy seeing all the keys on in aquakeytest or something. Looking for solution to a problem that you don't need to make exist...
-
Indeed. I want to use the full NKRO.

So if I understand this correctly, you're looking for a USB to PS/2 passive adapter—like the one that came in the box with the FILCO—that's right-angled?
You could try one of the many right-angled USB adapters out there (or even a hinged USB adapter (http://www.keyboardco.com/keyboard_details.asp?PRODUCT=631)), if that would fit. The alternative would be a PS/2 extension cable just to clear the case, then put the passive adapter on the end of that.

Just use a short PS2 extension cable.

This one is 1.3Meters. Now, a shorter one would be handy, but it's not bad.
