Title: Cherry Legend Project- Dolch First?
Post by: terrpn on Thu, 13 September 2012, 10:53:04: so reading off another thread i see there is going to be a cherry legend project/fundraiser that is in the works where dolch is going to be given 1st dibs-priority? very nice......... :cool: i missed out on the last one we did.

there definitely appears to be an audience for this. can anyone horn in as far when this might be starting, who is doing the GB and so on? which sets will be included- 87, add-on/104, moogle, etc.?

Just keep looking in the group buy section for news of an IC or official GB.

While I don't want to say 100%, it'll likely be similar to all other full keyset groupbuys: 87-set base kit with optional add-ons (tenkey, tsangan, ISO, etc.). Moogle will not be needed since the base kit will already be designed to fit modern keyboards such as Filco, Leopold, DAS, CM Storm, etc.

Now that the moogle3 and Red Cherry group buys are more or less wrapped up, there is more time to push it forward. I delivered a few more SVGs to Melissa last night for prototyping, actually. ;D

Look for a thread soon detailing the progress of the legend project, which will culminate in the Dolch replica group buy. We will definitely have all the standard options that Dan mentioned -- 87 base kit with tenkey, ISO, and tsangan add-ons.

doubtful; they will still be just as rare, dolch pacs will remain at $100ish, and the cherry thickness will still be sought after.

it'll just make it more accessible to people. hopefully prices will drop a little but I doubt it judging what I've seen happen on eBay in the last year... Keep hype alive!

Considering GMK's MOQ is ridiculously high, it is worth pursuing. I know danielucf is currently looking into the status of the project and possibly using the Toxic GB to pay the remaining $1000.
