Title: Is there a way to grease a topre keyboard?
Post by: Neo.X on Thu, 13 September 2012, 10:57:03
Just got  my RF 87U silent from  a member here, it's awesome!! Very comfortable and quiet to type on.
  :D :D:D
The only key that generates some squeaky noise is the Backsapce key. For a MX keyboase, normally I just use some grease on the stablizer and it works like a charm. For a topre switch, is there a way to grease it?

Thanks

oh , ho ho ho, you need RO59, quite hard to get in the states.

and you're supposed to lube the "Shaft" of the keystem with it. mmmmm.... shaffft..

You can try a tiny amount of white lithium based grease on the slider. Should be able to pick up that type of grease at home depot for uber cheap.

No nononononono, grease was not designed for lubrication of vertical walls. Especially where the bottom and top are NOT sealed. DO NOT do this.

You need dry lubricant...... also, DO NOT use pencil led, it rubs off too quickly,
