Looks like spherical caps too... intriguing.

Pull a cap off and show a picture of the bottom of the cap and key stem.

Edit: good find

I don't have it, but i saw one :)

it looks like this one, but this one is nixdorf http://keyboardporn.com/mx-switch/g80-0801-nixdorf-softclick/ (http://keyboardporn.com/mx-switch/g80-0801-nixdorf-softclick/)

and this one http://keyboardporn.com/mx-switch/nixdorf-softkeys/ (http://keyboardporn.com/mx-switch/nixdorf-softkeys/)

You should get it, just for the chance at those clear cherry switch upper housings.

That is pretty much the same board and a great find. If you decide the switches aren't your taste could you possibly proxy it for me?

I wonder if those would disperse light better under the key cap and diffuse the spot effect you sometimes get with LEDs. I will probably get lynched for even suggesting that you remove them from the keyboard.

You'd have to get a really wide viewing angle LED's for it to make a difference at all. Probably something like pi/4 steradians or better.

This is the best switch housing for use with clear keycaps, IMO.

this keyboard has din-6 connector (not mini din-6 (ps2)). Is is PC compatible? (i don't have adapter so i can not test it)

If it's a 180-degree Din6 connector, an AT connector, then it should work with a passive adapter to PS2. My SIIG minitouch has that one, and I'm using it with an adapter to PS2 (then another one to USB)

Sure it's 6 pins not 5? If it is 5 pins, then it is hopefully AT and not XT only, then you just need one of these:
or do what I usually do and replace the original cable with a PS/2 cable so I don't have to use adapter anymore.
If it is 6 pins, then it is probably something non standard and I would just part it out unless you want to keep it for collection purpose only.

It's 6 pin. I have a 5 pin keyboard, and adapter to ps2, so i know it is not a din-5, it's din-6 (not mini din-6)
p.s. I think it't keyboard from Nixdorf Targon, DEC compatible terminal. Is there possibillitu that this keyboard it AT? Or is it XT?
pss amstrad keyboards have DIN-6 and they are XT

Not sure. If it is XT then you could do something with one of Soarer's converters (http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=17458.0) to use it on modern computer. If it's AT and using a different plug, then just replace the cable... either way I think you should open it and have a look. Hopefully the cable connector or solder pads are labeled on the pcb and we can know for sure.
