My Filco MJ2 is done!
87-key
Brown switches
Medium o-rings
Cream cheese an green ABS ds caps
Lubed stabilizers
I'm pretty happy with it.
I've also got the Filco keypad to go with it and the ccng caps for it. But I've never opened the box for it.
We'll see what the next project is. Cherry white DS 104 key on a Rosewill?
-
Ergo clears mod!
CCnG is so gorgeous.
-
Hmmm.... the black bezel color clashes with the key caps. Not so good..
-
That's why I like it. I think a "white" board would just wash out.
-
So, how much of a difference do the o-rings make? I've been curious about getting some for my Leopold (mx browns).
-
How's the feel with O-rings on brown?
-
Nice combo...
Had 40a on browns and it felt funny and had to remove it..lol
-
CCnG is a classic set...I regret trading mine. I don't do O-rings though....my keyboard is too pretty for rubbers. :p

Really men don't use tenkey :)

Try doing CAD drawings without it bro
I'd rather jump off a short bridge

i wish there is another CCnG GB since i just missed that!

I'm crossing my fingers for the CCnBlue to happen soon.

You might be able to pick one up for sale in the classified section
-
They pop up from time to time, but you have to be fast. I haven't seen a CCnG last very long once it shows up on the classifieds.
-
i do fill in the form i think. i like CCnG better than the blue unless it is the sky blue.

May be after the Round4's come in (if ever lol)

Sky blue like the Soware set? It was a mistake (they meant to use the dark blue of WYSE, I believe) but it looks pretty good.

exactly like the esc keys. if it has navy blue/dark blue legends on it, it must be wonderful.
-
what do you mean by lubed stabilizers? I just wrapped tape on mine
-
To get a super smooth and stable feel to your costar stabilized keys use lithium based grease to lube the 4 contact points. I use dialectric grease. It's easy to find and won't hurt the plastic.
The points are where the wire clips to the keyboard and where the wire connects to the key cap.
-
Was about to post the Lithium Grease I got off Amazon, but Amazon's login is returning a 503. Weird.
-
How often do you need to lube the stabilizers? Been typing on my filco for over a year without issues. Am I doing it wrong?!
-
40A o-ring for the win. you need OEM caps for the 40-A-Rs from WASD though, the 40-A-L should work on cherry and sp.
-
That's one cool-looking unit!
