hey guys, I'm new to the mechanical world and I can't wait to buy my first mechanical keyboard. I never knew I would spend any more then $20 on a keyboard but I realized I spend 12+ hours a day typing so might as well focus on quality in that area.
After lurking for a few days, I notice this forum has great people and good vibes. Talk to you guys soon.

In a couple of month's time you will be saying "I never knew I would spend that much on just one keyboard, now I want another one" ;)
It definitely makes a difference typing on a mechanical keyboard.

Yeah, I've had mine about a week and I want to get a couple more with difference switches to check them out, too.
And keycaps. H'oh my god, if only there were a warning about the keycaps...

It gets worse.
Most expensive key cap I have seen so far was $250.
For one (1) key cap

Yup. I'm pretty close to that number on the Ironman up for auction currently.

Thanks!
I haven't purchased a keyboard yet but I'm already checking out all the key caps on the classifieds. :-X
The possibilities are looking mighty fine.

They are somewhat addictive, aren't they? ;)

Yeah, the difference is so big. Also you don't end up replacing your keyboard as often, but find yourself buying tons of them.
