Hi everyone,
I'm new here and I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Fran from Spain and I'm a young engineer student finishing his studies in telecommunication engineering. Just now I've acquired a new custom build PC and I'm looking for a new keyboard. I've to admit that all this mechanical keyboard stuff is somewhat new to me. I say somewhat because deep in my mind is burnt the feeling of the mechanical keys feedback. I'm not sure where did I use a mechanical keyboard, maybe it was my first PC or any other of the dozens I've used, but for sure the special sensation of the key softly "kicking-back" the finger is in my mind, and I want to get a keyboard that have this with your help :)
Regards.

Welcome to Geekhack!
A feeling of feedback would be the tactile feedback - that slight bump you can feel as the key hits the activation point.
A keyboard with Cherry MX blue switches would provide this, but blues are also clicky - they emit an audible click when pressed, which some people find annoying (personally I like the sound).
Or MX browns, which are tactile, but less so, and without the click.
There are those who would suggest a classic buckling spring keyboard - but they are even noisier.

Yep, noise is a problem because I'm a night animal and live in shared flat...
Thank you for the info.

Welcome to GeekHack.
Browns would be the naturally silent switch, with a small tactile bump. But if you're looking for that strong "kickback" then blues with O-rings would give you the tactility while being somewhat less noisy.

If silent is your major concern, IMO you shall try the Hhkb pro S which comes with the 45g and the silent variation of the standard 45g topre.

pro S a very good shout, but comes with its price tag! maybe just be super gentle when you type... slow and gentle.... :D

Hi, thank you for the welcome ;D
Actually I'm trying to get the Rapid with reds or browns and with spanish layout (I know they have stock of this in USA, but they don't ship to EU, actually talking with Carter to see options). I've also looking the poker or similar style. I just don't want to expend more than 100-120$ at the moment, it will be my first mecha, so step by step ;)
Any more recommendation?
