Hello I currently own a White (Beige) Filco Ninja MX Red 104 key. But I'm considering to jump into the world of PBT keycaps since I've noticed for MX Red's the keycap material effects the feel of switch quite a bit. Even black ABS keycaps feels more solid than their default beige counterpart (I'm guessing black has higher density).
But now the issue is since I know white PBT keycaps are generally super white, and filco is more like beige. So I've seen some picture on the internet and know they colour will not match up. So would it be better (or even more stylish) for me to go with black PBT keycaps?
I know I want to try blank set so engraved/top printed/side printed won't be taking into consideration here. Personally I like the current look but too bad they don't sell Filco beige tinted PBT keycaps.
So what do you guys think? White PBT or Black PBT?

I think you can get cherry lasered PBT in off white. This may well be your best option, as it's super cheap on ebay (Even for a new set)
Although it's their newer thin PBT, my White G80-8113 has off white lasered PBT.

Is Cherry's off-white really the same hue as Filco? I am not sure about that. Even then, there are going to be problems with Caps Lock and Space Bar.
To answer the question:
* Black keys do look good on a white keyboard.
* If you get super-white keys, you could paint the case to match but then it won't have a textured surface any more and you can't go back. A waste on a white Filco in my opinion.

I would wait for the beige set from imsto, whenever he gets those back in stock.

Ohhhh does imsto have a page somewhere or is it from eBay? Or should I PM him?
As for the cherry set yeah I'm worry about the capslock and spacebar, I have no experience with modding :(
I also considered grey or blue before (even though they're lettered), but in the end I think grey and blue might look cool initially but I'm not sure if I'll get sick and tired of it after a while. I'm trying to steer away from the crazy gamer look I think I like it simple and elegant kind of look :P

If you can get a hold of a "red alert" set with grey modifiers, it would look pretty awesome. The grey modifiers match the color of the white filco case. This is Dan's filco with those mentioned caps:

Does the RK-9000I use the "Filco white" body or is it bright white?

The photos make it look bright white, but that's an easy thing for photos to be wrong about.

lol ok I'll leave the black PBT as my last resort. Though I noticed the grey and blue PBT keycaps are Cherry replica. So is it safe to assume that they might replicate the beige color one day too...? Maybe I'll be patient and wait a bit :)
EDIT: lol omg I just found out about the imsto's sub forum I'm such a noob. Never know those exists ! But yes I saw the post where he said beige will be available later :D

These would look awesome on a white keyboard. Maybe not exactly that colour but I love the design

I like the blue power button key, look quite nice but I wonder if it would look too busy if it's like that style across the whole board :P
Oh and now that I find out imsto might carry beige keycaps later. Now I can't decide if I want blank or beige + blue lettering =_______=

Blue Lettering (Image from imsto's vendor forum, the mix of blue and beige is optional you can get all blue or all beige. In my case I want all beige):

All blank has this what I call "white tofu" look and it look simple. But I'm a sucker for blue lettering noooo what to do ~

When it's difficult between the two, then you punish your brain by getting both. If it rationalizes and realizes that you're investing $180 for 200 little pieces of plastic, then it becomes easier to choose which one you really want. If it still wants both, then you have the option of switching them out when you're bored. Up to how much you're able to spend, really.

lol I know I can only afford one set, that and I still want to try buckling spring and topre can't spend all my money on keycaps :P
Now I'm just debating how long I should wait, sounds like this could take MONTHS before anything happens >_____>
Let's see how long I can wait before I jump the gun and just buy whatever color's available lol

lol yeah Artisan Shiden is the best of both worlds from soft to hard mouse pad.

I went for the blank set, the colour might not be the perfect shade / match but I think this is the best choice I have at the moment to get cherry profile thick PBT keycaps for my Filco :P

lol nvm in the end I decide on blue on white dye sub, since it's avaiable as new option now. I think I just like blue too much LOLLLL
