Hello. I want to purchase products from the SteelSeries official store. However, the U.S. store doesn't ship outside of North America, and the international store has a price markup of about 25%—In addition the free shipping isn't applicable to Australia. So, my idea would be to buy from the U.S. store and have it delivered free to a U.S. address, and then pay for further shipping to me. I of course would need help from an honorable American (who is familiar with posting things overseas; cost and such). Any such person here?

Ha!
I think there would be a few of us in Australia who would be interested in something like this on a regular basis.

+1!

There are services one can pay for. I've looked into them before. But I'm just looking for someone to do me a solid.

Aww, I thought this topic may have been something else when I saw the name of it :P

once upon a time.
see, the trustworthy deal isn't with US. it's the foreigners that screwed it up
-
Trustworthiness is something that comes at a price. If your bid is too low, assume that the guy you're dealing will be extracting the true sale price in disregard for the ethereal written contract.

No. We like our titties big and fake, our whiskey strong, and our burgers double-downed and surrounded by bacon. If I ever catch you near our boarder I will choke you out with the large intestines of a bald eagle while singing the star spangled Walmart in a Humvee while having sex with a barbeque and shooting my automatic rifle on the roof of a church that is giving out free abortions. Hold up now, what was your question?

Sorry i don't mean to be a nosey pinochio but could someone explain what happened to that guy in detail? I'm really intrigued to know how he got screwed over and what items so how much $$$ out he was?

To TS,
you can try out www.shipito.com
I used them few times. All my items get delivered without problem. They had multiple courier service to choose from. I alway use their Air mail Priority. Took around 3 to 4 weeks to reach Thailand.
U can opt for USPS too.

I would do it, but I don't have any experience with shipping overseas. Sorry guys.

I was thinking something similar.
But to add to the discussion:
I was a proxie, but I took an arrow to the knee.

America, where you can buy Quickfire rapid for $50 + free shipping. Greatest country evar.
-
I would volunteer, but honestly, I don't have the time or energy.
The Post Office has the large flat rate "game board" box that goes anywhere for $58, and that is about as good as you can to get to Oz unless the board is rather small and light, in which case it might get down to the $40-45 range for a small one.
-
For those whom have little faith in their fellow man, there's also MyUS.com, and similar sites.
-
I've used GamesForCanada before (Not just for games and not just for Canada), but it seems the pricing has changed adding premium stuff :(
-
GamesForCanada looks good. They don't appear to charge a subscription fee like other companies.

That's not the case at all. I've also had people offer in private message. But this GamesForCanada thing seems pretty good. $2 insurance per $100 coverage value. So $4 to cover my $120 worth of items. Other sites require like $60 a month just to have an account. Shipping cost seems good. I'm estimating the weight though. What would you estimate a mouse and mousepad would weigh?

They offer a $10 buffer amount, which will be refunded if not needed. So I might go for 2 lbs + buffer.
-
USPS insurance is way cheaper ...

What was that? Difficulty dealing with overseas shipping and fufillment? If you guys can organize a group buy, I can run it through Massdrop and take care of the logistics that way.
