Title: CCnG on Camo Filco TKL?
Post by: oTurtlez on Mon, 01 October 2012, 13:38:05
so I want a white filco Majestouch TKL, only because it would match CCnG pretty well. But what about a camo TKL? Does anybody think the CCnG would match it at all?

I had the same thought about a month ago, then I decided I already had too many keyboards (there is such a thing) and didn't pursue the camo any longer. I think it would look really good

Those two greens actually clash asthetically. The key green is far too yellow, while the keyboard green is far too "BLUE"/"Grey"

I wouldn't put it together with the CAMO.

IDK where many geekhackers are learning to color match, LOL, it's proabably not their fault, and more due to the lack of options, but still... blechhh....

I think it looks pretty good, yet it also kinda clashes which is why I preferred initially the beige / white tto match the CC part. But of course, there's no such thing as a white filco TKL with browns anymore... I can only find black and camo. I might just have to go for it and trade it for a beige down the road.

Have you used the stuff yourself? Im familiar with it but I have no idea how it would withstand a keyboard element.

It's durable to the "touch" for sure, but if you Rub the keyboard hard against something, you'll probably rip the plastidip off.  Not likely though..

Yes i've used it, as that's my board.

So I would assume no tears from daily rubbing of hands on it and whatnot?
