Hello.
My first buckling springs keyboard is arrived, but I need two Keycaps: Esc keycap and Up arrow keycap.

I was looking for a cheap way to solve this problem, something like blank coloured keycaps.
The problem is that I live in Italy, and Unicomp gives me a shipping quote of 20Usd, like clickykeyboards.com
I'm waiting for Fentek quote.
Can someone help me solving the problem?
Maybe is possible to cut the stem from a Mx keycap.. Isn't it?
Thank you.
Simone

Cap covers from a cheap IBM terminal keyboard will work.
-
Thank you.
I found a Ibm (maybe an AS 400) terminal, but there are no caps on keyboard... It has a one-piece keycap with stem.
What about modding a Cherry Mx keycap? is it possible?
-
You can use one piece cap/stems, just pull the current stem/key out first.

Hey there,
I have those keys, but the USPS wants $38USD to send anything to Italy.
Sorry man,

Really? I thought small intl flat rate boxes were cheaper than that. Using a bubble mailer should be even less.
It shouldn't be more than a couple Oz, and I believe a bubble mailer counts as a "thick envelope". Using the USPS postcalc, It sholud be under $5 to send some keycaps to Italy. (assuming it's 3 Oz in weight. 8Oz would come out to be almost $9)

I'd recommend to check some E-cyclers for model M's.

dorkvader,
I tried that exact page, with bad luck. But after I saw your note I tried again -- and checked "show all options" it said I could mail it from a Post Office to Italy for under $10. We'll see if that holds true AT the post office.
torpedine,
PM me your address and I'll see what the actual cost would be. Then you can PayPal me the actual cost of the keys, plus postage and any PayPal surcharge.

Thank you everybody for your help!
I'm sending a PM to you, samwisekoi.
P.s.:
by the way, what is an E-cycler for model M's?
I love bike travelling, but I'm not sure you are talking about this.. :-)
I beg your pardom for my poor linguistic competence.

My Model M is now very hot.
Thank you samwisekoi and thank you Geekhack users!
