Just ordered a Happy Hacking keyboard after reading too many threads on it! I hope I love it as much as most people seem to!
-
Don't worry, this hobby isn't as expensive as many others out there.
-
Make sure you tell us how you like it!

I've been tempted to get one, but the pricetag is keeping me back. I love the design of the HHKB's

I'll definitely let you all know how I like it once it arrives. I'm guessing it takes a little while to get used to the layout before I can really know if it's a good fit for me or not. I'm sure my wife will smack me in the face when she finds out how much I spent on a keyboard!

Just wait until you have an urge to buy one of the second hand CC key caps ... for $500 ... ;)

I really don't quite get the hype with those. Don't care for them I guess.

One of those is like the price of two to three new cherry mx boards!
-
They kinda grow on you :)
Or not, as the case may be. If not then be thankful that you will not go through the agony of just missing out on one of the rare sales, or have to content with auctions where $100 is typical for a CC key.

Yes, one problem of reading reviews from other people is it makes you want to buy the keyboard they are using.
Having said that, please let us know how you like the HHKB, I am planning to get one. :D

I actually managed to buy only two keyboards, but I've been incredibly close to pulling the trigger on more. Considering studying something like computer engineering or whatever it's called soon, would be a great excuse to get a HHKB...
Mice, on the other hand... I think my collection has doubled since I joined GH.

I'm a trackball user, so there is only a limited amount of mice I can actually get! So far my collection includes:
Microsoft Trackball Explorer (wish they still made this thing)
Kensington Expert Mouse
Logitech Optical TrackMan
Not many others I care to try.
