So I'm looking at this right now, planning to grab it.
http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=113_1224&products_id=21581
But I've remember reading somewhere DAS has changed to iOne, is it true? Is this the new product? Because this website took the old Das Keyboard listings out and put this one in, so it made me wonder if it was iOne. Wanting some answers before I take it.

The new one with media keys is no longer made by Costar. :(
-
Das has admitted that the new media keyboards are manufactured in China whereas the previous models were made in Taiwan. Many people suspect it is iOne because the bottom left keys are 1x1, which is a common trait of iOne boards.
-
There is no 1x on the bottom row, it have 4 1.25 on each side and a much smaller space bar. My money is on iRocks, who are king of f*cked up bottom rows.

Isn't that terrible news really for such a good keyboard? I mean, isn't DAS kind of going from one of the top boards to low end with this move? Looks like they are trying to ride on their name while lowering their cost, but still charge the same amount. Hoping people won't know the difference I guess.
I'm receiving a QuickFire Rapid with blues today and am going to compare it to my BlackWidow with blues. I'm curious to see how they will feel relative to each other. This will be a good indicator to me of iONE vs Costar quality. I have to say, I'm as impressed with my BW though as I have been with the Rapids so far. The BW does feel different though, hard to put my finger on what exactly that difference is. ;)

The picture on the box has 4 1.25 keys on the bottom, but if you watch the product video on youtube, you'll notice it has 1x1 windows key at bottom. So I think their product picture is wrong or something.
As for the blackwidow, I find "feel" wise it doesn't feel too bad. I didn't notice anything wrong with it, it's probably more of a either it works or it breaks quality control issue that people hate.
But yeah it's sad because Das was probably the lowest cost full size Costar keyboard before (Also my first mechanical keyboard) but now I can no longer recommend it :(
Grab the non-media edition while it lasts lol.

I got a non media Das made in Taiwan, ie Costar built, for around $90 on newegg during a 15% off all keyboards sale. I'm glad I got one before they stop selling them.

Bought mine on February, arrived here on June (out of stock and customs/shipping problems) and I thought about recommending it for other people, but when I saw that the quality was going to go on a downfall starting from then, since they were changing where they were produced, I can't even recommend it for anyone.
It seems the Mac and Ultimate versions are still made by Costar, but god knows until when.

I got a DAS Ultomate Silent last year. The quality is really good. The spcebar key, easily the best feeling spacebar of all my mechanical keyboards, including my 6 filcos. ;) ;)

That's the first thing I noticed when I got mine. The space bar feels god damn awesome.

I still say best Das was Das II, which was just a G80-3000 with blank keycap. They were originally rubberdomes board made by Keytronic. They keep bouncing from oem to oem for some reason.

I see. Thanks guys.

Just found out another website selling it, emailing them now to ask if it's the new DAS version.

This is the reply. :(
I've not heard about any change to the keyboards - as far as I they all still come from the same factory in Taiwan. Our current stock is about 2 months old.
If you have any detailed info about this, let me know.

The Ultimate is still made by Costar, so, their info is correct.
