Title: Workout Music Suggestions?
Post by: Capitalistix on Mon, 22 October 2012, 18:44:43
Hey all, Im in dire need of some new workout/running tunes and I would love some suggestions! I like all kinds of music. I love alternatice/rock/country rock/techno/electronica/house/dubstep/hi-hop/80's all genres/90's dance and rock. I'm mostly looking for upbeat stuff since its for working out/excercising. Any input is graciously accepted! Thanks!

Queen!

I do like me some Queen! Although their songs change up beats/tempo a lot ala Bohemian Rhapsody, so it's hard to keep pumped, but Ill kill it with Queen when Im writing essays and such!

I did listen to their stuff around that time so I do have a special place for them, wasnt rebellious though haha I have way worse guilty pleasures than them, trust me.

oh sounds like we have similar tastes

don't touch me - busta rhymes
fire it up  - busta rhymes (i don't use this anymore it's my ringtone, it messes up my rhythm heh, well more like the original sample knight rider phoenix)

i find it difficult to do anything with biggie, but
victory - notorious big

is about all i can work with

i've tried lincoln park, but most of their songs, in then end, numb, new divide, what i've done start out like most songs, slow then high, maybe editing them would do good, but they slow me down more often than not.

get back - ludacris
act the fool - ludacris

Might look into Ministry of Sound's Running Trax compilations. I find them to be pretty good.

I like old-school minimalist music like Steve Reich or Terry Riley, but then I am totally weird anyway.

Exercise is a meditation for me, not a struggle.
