There's one listed here (http://web.archive.org/web/20101225205154/http://geekhack.org/showwiki.php?title=Keyswitch+Patents) (US #4467160). I think that's a precursor type to MX switches though.

Have you looked at the old Cherry switch wiki (http://web.archive.org/web/20110726075627/http://geekhack.org/showwiki.php?title=Cherry+switches+and+boards) yet? (The next older archived version is more complete in terms of pictures, though it still lacks some newer information.)
