Title: Have Cooler Master stopped producing the UK Quick Fire Rapid?
Post by: ranunky on Fri, 26 October 2012, 07:47:43
The only stockists, scan.co.uk have been out of stock for months and I just called them and they don't have a lead time? Does anyone know any good alternatives  the same size, same colour, same switches and same UK/Irish layout, same price? I can't wait any longer!

They are probably getting ready for the QuickFire TK!

Same colour depends on what switches you want, only decent alternative I can think of is Filco, but that probably costs twice as much.
Razer has a tenkeyless BlackWidow, but again that might cost a bit more and looks quite a bit uglier and only comes in blues as far as I know.
If you want blacks and can live with a numpad, the Steelseries 6Gv2 has similar looks and a pleasant price tag.

Saying what switch type you're after helps a bit.

Thing is, we don't even know what switches you're talking about since the Quickfire Rapid is sold in four different switches.

And no, the Quickfire Rapid is not out of production, maybe it's just that your country's stock hasn't been refilled, but there's plenty of these keyboards in America and South-America (it's one of the few mechanical keyboards produced in our ISO ABNT2 layout).

I think that the one that's gonna go out of scene due to the Quickfire TK is probably the Quickfire PRO.

A good keyboard for a good price out there in Europe, is the Ozone Strike, check that one out.

The stock in EU fluctuates quite a bit.

If you are referring to brown switch, it may be a while....
