Title: Broken K60
Post by: TheQsanity on Sat, 27 October 2012, 00:01:39
I recently bought a used/broken K60. I Plugged it in and it powers on just fine. But the keys have a Ghosting affect when pressed down. What could the causes be? It ghosts many keys near it either through its column or row. What are the likely causes?
Thanks.

It is a known problem in both the K60 and K90. They've tried to address it through firmware, but consensus is that it has not worked, and it is a problem that cannot be fixed.

Put red switches in better keyboard... there is nothing much else to do with it.

Ill probably take the switches. What is the affected part? The controler? Could I still sell the pcb?

Since they can't seem to fix it in the firmware, I'm betting the PCB is a big part of the problem.

Is it physical? I have seen some odd looking solder areas. Ill post some photos in a little.

Chances are it's the matrix design far more than the quality of assembly.
