Title: WYSE KU-8933
Post by: NikoGasm on Mon, 29 October 2012, 00:17:40
Is the WYSE KU-8933 mechanical or dome? I can't tell by looking at it, and I can't find any info on it.

The pic here http://www.ebay.com/itm/WYSE-USB-Mdl-KU8933-Keyboard-/150928374798?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2324083c0e would seem to indicate that it is rubber dome.

Ah, thank you. I was unable to find any pictures of the switches.

Strangely, this YouTube video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0cBUGuJ_EX4) is supposedly of a Chicony KU8933 (which I would assume to the the same as the Wyse KU-8933). But the video seems to show a mechanical keyboard, and notice the casing design differs. Probably the uploader made a mistake with the model number and the video doesn't actually show a Chicony KU-8933.

I know this is an old thread, so make fun of me all you want... For reference purposes, though, the Wyse KU-8933 is a membrane board:

A local hardware store chain uses it for their terminals. It is rubber dome.
