Yeah was gonna buy 2 of these. Super good deal !
-
I ordered one of these only a couple of hours ago.
How long have they been available for? Have I been blind and just not noticed them on their web site all this time??
-
Very nice sample pack, going to order a set :)
-
I think they just went up recently....
-
Wow, crazy deal. I bought my own "sample pack" a while back by buying one of each colour individually, which cost me $8 for 8 caps. :(
I noticed they are no longer making the dark blue, though?
-
They posted it to their Facebook group earlier today. I'd guess it's a new item.
-
You'd only need 7 of these to make a TKL unicorn vomit board ;)
-
Awesome stuff!!! Thanks hashbaz!!!
-
Dark Blue was discontinued because there wasnt good contrast with the etching.
-
Replaced by light blue.

Replaced by light blue.
yes which by the way looks great on my phantom ;)
-
I have their light blue as a space bar key and it doesn't look too bad with the meth keys on there too.
-
I insta-ordered that as soon as I saw it - it is a great deal, and definitely useful. I'm excited for one of each of the switches to mess with, the blank keycaps will be good to have before ordering more, and I probably won't do anything with the o-rings but it is great to have them in case I change my mind.
-
I might as well get a kit for myself. :)
-
Would this be a good little package to get a feel for certain switches? I've never used any mechanical keyboards (or at least that I know of) and was looking into getting a brown/red cherry switch board. Would something like this give me a general idea what I'm getting? Appreciate it, thanks.

Not really. There is a fairly significant difference between typing on a switch soldered to and/or fixed to a plate in a keyboard to randomly pressing a loose switch (I have two Ducky key chains that have MX switches in them).
-
Just got a set without switches. The caps look cool and I'll get to try some o-rings out for a great price!
Also got some extra stabiliser pegs!

This is a great promotion, but I am afraid that he will lose more money than he makes. But no doubt he will sell quite a few boards and accessories from this.
Since I have never owned a WASD or Filco board, what is the current consensus about the quality of each? They are not the same OEM, are they?
Custom PBT keycaps is a huge incentive.
-
I think they might be the same OEM? I've never owned a WASD but heard the quality is just as high as a Filco.
And yeah, I was thinking the same thing too, but I do think quite a few people would have purchased a few other small things with their sampler sets.
-
He's not losing money from this. When buying everything in bulk, switches are like 40cents each, O-rings are pennies, and keycaps is probably around ~50cents. But definitely not making a lot either. But the point of these sampler kit is not to make money. A few parts of each is useless for a whole keyboard. Purpose of this kit is so you can buy a complete set of one or more items from the kit.
WASD is from the same OEM as Filco.

Except for the yellow keycaps.

-
He? He who? Who gets yellow keycaps?
