Title: How to open FC500 case?
Post by: gbohn on Sat, 03 November 2012, 12:01:26
Is there a guide anywhere on how to open a Leopold FC500 case (without damaging it)? If not, is there a guide for an FC200 (hoping that this is similar to the FC500)?

Thanks;

Should be fairly straight forward. You may need a credit card etc to pry out the plastic tabs. I'm not sure how they are constructed on the underside.

Most boards will also usually have a screw on the underside of the board, covered by a QC sticker. You're going to have to puncture the sticker (which voids the warranty) and undo that screw, then pry off the tabs as SmallFry said.

 This is what the underside looks like. Assuming they are all visible from the outside, it would appear that there are 9 tabs on the top and bottom (and none on the side).

  Is this an easy or hard thing to do (without inflicting any damage)?
