Does anybody know what the heck these are? If they are decent switches, this is a good deal.
Were some of these Space Invaders?

yes, what are these?

Some of them were Space Invaders, yes. IIRC they are like Chery Blues.

My curiosity got the best of me and I ordered on of these.
I will report back on it after I get it.

I'm curious as well -- please report back on whether these are the real deal, fohat!

Came across this on a Google search:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-NMB-Technologies-AT-Keyboard-Model-RT6855TW-FCCID-AQ6-CYPRESSZ15-/280986564587?nma=true&si=wOJEbohYa63GW%2F0jZFEzMLkToT0%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
The front also looks similar besides the lack of a Warning label above the arrow keys. It also has a backside label that looks the same other than the S/N. Could be interesting to see still.

That's the same model as the one fohat purchased. Rubber domes. :\

Damn. That did not turn up on my search 9 hours earlier.
I really did not want to waste another $26 on a blind keyboard sale.

Aww.. I had written a page on the Deskthority Wiki about the RT6856TW (http://deskthority.net/wiki/NMB_RT6856T), just because that model is so common.
The model number differs only by 1 in the last digit... I'll add this model to the page.
The only difference that I can see between the two keyboards is that the RT6855 has AT connector and the RT6856 has PS/2.

I have one of these, and it's one of the best dome keyboards ever made, assuming yours is the same as mine. Very heavy with a nice mech feel.
They did make several versions though- hopefully yours is the same.

I recently bought a "clicky" number pad on eBay for quite a lot of money. Turned out to be rubber domes. eBay said the item was described correctly because "clicky is subjective".

That may be, but this says "mechanical".. which seems alot less subjective

There's a Unisys keyboard in my school just like that. Yes, the switches are domes. But the keyboard is heavy as hell, built absolutely solid and the domes are actually VERY tactile and comfortable! It's a great board to use!
