By doubleshot PBT do you mean something besides what Deck keyboards have now (backlit PBT keys with translucent legends)?

The long wait continues. :(

This a million times. Though I guess we have to wait for the Unicomp patents to expire...
-
awesome
-
I like my Poker, it's a great compact keyboard.
-
Looking forward to the new Pokers! Would like to get one as a new project board!
-
Hmmm, I'm not going to hold my breath for any of this but I hope they do make it to market
-
Juicy details :)
-
If the Deck rumor is true I would buy one instantly! I love my Deck Legend, but I have come to appreciate the 87 layout on my Keycool. It took away a few problems with my wrist that I had after a while with a cheap mouse.

lol yeah I currently own stock Das MX Brown and Filco MX Red. My plan is to go PBT and try different switches on the next few keyboards.
My girlfriend has MX Blue and I've tried MX Black on display shelf in stores. So I think I'm happy with Cherry MX switches and time to try different brands.
So I was gonna get PBT keycaps for Das and Filco, then get Unicomp Ultra Classic (stock PBT keycaps), and eventually get Topre Realforce (stock PBT also).
But now with this list I'm tempted to get a backlit doubt shot PBT Deck. Also the MKC aluminum keyboard look very tempting also (I have a feeling people might buy this then do a Filco swap if the price is right).
And those 2 things is most likely gonna cost around the $300~ range damn it !!! =_________=
=======================================================================================
EDIT: I really hope Deck fix their font. Honestly the only thing holding me back from buying a Deck is their ugly font and heavy switches. If only they offer MX Red and Ergo Clear (Rumoured MX Purple).
-

Serious? I may **** bricks if that price range for Deck is real.
-
Did you actually hear it is called Poker2? When I heard the rumor, it was unnamed. I was also told that it isn't by KBC so not sure if it'll be called Poker2.

"POKER II & POKER II PRO" thats the orignal text.
doesnt matter what they are called, as long as new poker is coming :D
-
As long as the Poker isn't coming from Vortex, you might actually see it.
-
AFAIK, the new 60% is still a Vortex board.

Cup sets are awesome. It is pretty tragic when you break it ;o
-
Those ducky may be the solution to many!
-
Double-shot PBT? Pwld...
-
price range RMB: 750ish--1000+ish
That converts to about $100-$150 USD.
Sounds super cheap for Deck, or is that keycaps only
-
Noooooo this means my poker is inferior in everyway!!!!

Sorry, I'm new. What keyboards does MKC make?
Also, why is it that this kind of stuff is communicated by rumors? Wouldn't they want their customers to know about their new stuff? Weird...
-
In every single business the people that actually sell the stuff, such as salesmen and distributors, hear it before the actual customer does. Same with keyboards.

Every single business? Really? Surely you've seen websites like Engadget. They preview/review stuff before it's released. They talk about it and build buzz and people know about stuff coming out in the near future and plan accordingly. Sales people don't get much more of a heads up that the press. That said, I know a number of the makers are small companies and aren't involved in all aspects of the business (manufacturing, distribution in different markets.) And they seem to have quite complicated business arrangements. For example, I'm still not quite sure how all the different parties involved in the KBT products are related. In any case it seems like they have a super engaged audience and could be making a lot of it.

MKC made aluminum Filco cases for a very very short amount of time and now they've decided to release their own brand of aluminum keyboards, so there's nothing out on the market yet but will be out soon.
As for why this is communicated by rumours. Because it's not ready for the public to know yet, hence "leaked info" :P

KBT is just 1 guy with a forum and commissions customized keyboards. Vortex makes some of their boards, and market it as KBT and Vortex. KBT work with multiple vendors. Zippy is the vendor for KBT Pro and some of the scissor boards. Strongman made the original KBTalKing, but that went under long ago. He does work directly with factories too for some stuff. The rule about KBT is, don't expect more keyboards. Vendors don't give him much room to make money. No money = no money to get more boards made.

I knew that waiting was worth it! :D

Wow, that's crazy. And KBC? The 'C' stands for China? That a different forum of enthusiasts? Is there any relationship with KBT?

Thanks, man.

I guess so. Seems so haphazard. If they're planning to release the board this month sending out more information (pictures, at least) so people know to save their holiday dollars...Ah well wouldn't be the first time I was bewildered by the the logic of the business world. ;-)

I'm pretty sure that MKC is just one guy.

KBC is a Chinese enthusiast site. Not sure what the C stand for, but I guess you can use it as mnemonics to remember KBC is Chinese and KBT is Taiwan based. The sites are sister sites for the past year. I don't believe there are any direct business dealings though.

I'm in the exact same situation, it seems. I was planning on buying Noppoo Choc Mini with 108 Duckey Blank Black PBT keycaps as well as some Counter Strike caps and a Reddit cap. Agh, the wait is too much.
-
is deck getting rid of that hideous font?
-
I think as long as it is backlit, it will be hideous. Really they all have that, though. Gotta be centered and gotta be huge to let the light through

It is kind of a shame though, more competition would be nice. Plus, it seems (correct me if I'm wrong?) as though KBT has pushed some interesting boundaries (60% and wireless with a switch come to mind) that some of the more "mainstream" companies (Filco, Leopold, CM,etc) haven't been willing to do.
-
A wise man once told me that pbt doubleshots was impossible to make.
I said no xD
-
They have actually always called their current design PBT doubleshots. It is doubleshot, but the top part is dye subliminated. The main problem with PBT DS is that it tends to warp when it cools down. This is already visible in Déck's curent keycaps, they often have some minor gaps along the sides of the cap which people notice.

Not the case with Matias switches. No Matias switch boards in that list, but I guess it's too early for that yet – switch production not ramped up far enough :)

I knew about this (http://www.boston.com/businessupdates/2012/11/08/keurig-teams-with-lavazza-single-serve-cappuccino-latte-and-espresso-brewing-system/sbmZCH2I0Sdlk4FOw51GcK/story.html?p1=Well_MostPop_Emailed7) over a year ago, but it wasn't leaked until much more recently, and only announced yesterday. (I have a family member working for Keurig, and got to use a prototype.) Not everything gets leaked like that.
Also: DOUBLESHOT PBT? Excellent! Let's lean on Deck until they sell keycap sets.
Also, one excellent reason to get a TG3 BL82, is because it comes in two font sizes (large and huge) and the font actually looks good.

Large n Huge are good for my parents who cant blind type and large fonts are easy to see. ;D

Exactly, with the exception perhaps of a few high-tech consumer markets such as certain computer electronics, most of this is simply not known to most of the actual consumers. Electronics is an exception to the rule and a weird one at that.
Sure Apple and Sony cameras have their own rumor websites, but for example the outdoor industry has a lot of different companies developing their own materials. Even when it actually hits the stores you still have to tell every single customer why it is different from what they already know. Gore-tex Active Shell (http://www.gore-tex.com/remote/Satellite/product-content/gore-tex-active-products/benefits) vs. Polartec Neoshell (http://www.polartec.com/shelter/polartec-neoshell/) for example.
