Anyone know where to cop a Cherry MX keycap set that has Zhuyin on it? Or is my best bet having someone in TW sending over a set?
-
I think you might have to do a custom order or something, at least I know I haven't seen one on the market yet.
If you can get enough number you can probably do a custom group buy from that factory imsto get his keycaps from. Just gotta gather all the Taiwanese people here :P
Otherwise yeah it might be like you said better to get someone from Taiwan to send over.
-
One option, if you can't find sets on the market, is to mock up every key and do it through WASDKeyboards.

Ducky has the bopomofo PBT caps. You can ask ShakeR to import some for you. They used to be on buy.yahoo.com.tw and PChome, but not any more for some reason. Autobuy has them, but I don't know if they ship overseas. http://www.autobuy.tw/component/pro_info.php?id=24579&sid=1693 It has Changjie and Dayi on it... I think the engraved ones only have alphabet and bopomofo

lol, zhuyin... how long have you been typing zhuyin? I pretty much touch type zhuyin ever since high school (like 10 years ago...). I did have to memorize a few key locations, like the accents. Once I got used to it, I never wanted any sort of chinese symbols showing up on my keyboard anymore lol.
And ya I also used to see keycap set from Ducky on PChome. Perhaps you could wait a little bit see if they will restock it later on, coz its got really cheap shipping rate oversea.

Ooo thanks for the heads up!
I learned zhuyin in elementary school so I know how to use it, but but I'm an ABC that never needed to type it so I want to start now.

Similar situation for me. I left Taiwan after grade 6 so I could read/write it, but was never required to type it after I came to Canada. I mean it's still not required for me but figure might be useful in the long wrong being able to type chinese at respectable speed.

That might work though I don't know about swagpiratex but I find still prefer to learn zhuyin.
-
Don't use zhuyin if you want to type in respectable speed. 嘸蝦米 is the way to go. I prefer pinyin since... boxiami kinda requires you to know how to write. li gong xia? ;o Ya... I am going to have to learn the romanization rule for Taiwanese... 趕羚羊,草枝擺 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1aynStEsTwU)...
-
Mmmmm maybe I'll give pinyin a shot and see how it goes then lol.
Though this made me wonder how big of a Taiwanese community is here at geekhack. It looks like it's just us so far :'(

zhuyin? means 注音

Damn, why the sudden 趕羚羊?
-
You don't like the antelope song? ;o
-
I know what it means.
Its funny how the meaning of antelope crosses borders as well.
-
Can someone explain what an antelope means? The extent of my understanding of references are eating someone's tofu and ice cream. (It just hit me on how weird that sounds in English, haha)
