Hi GH,
I am a new Topre Realforce 87UB owner, this is my first big spend on a keyboard. I'd like to say "Hello" to the GH community and hope you are as welcoming as I have read in the past few weeks.
I took a dive and purchased the Topre, as I thought, if I was going to buy a keyboard, I wanted one of the best. I really love it, it is so responsive and the feeling is amazing. Someone in a thread I read described it as typing on boobies, it's close, but yeah... :)
I really enjoyed reading the forums and seeing the customizations/special keyboard that all the GH members have. They really are quite impressive.
I hope to modify/add some color to my keyboard soon as well. I think I will avoid those nice looking CC skulls at the moment, they look good, but it seems it can be a very expensive hobby collecting key caps, so I will be patient and look for good bargains in the Classifieds.
Despite reading some warning it wasn't a gaming keyboard, I have found the Topre variable a great keyboard to play with. I understand the variable weight makes the key press on the edge fingers easier; playing SC2, I really like it as the 'A' key is the attack key and reminds me to keep moving and attacking. I can get use to it and not rest on it now.
Anyway, thanks for the welcome, hope I can help contribute to this forum!

Welcome to Geekhack!
Starting at the top, I see. Topre. Hmmm ...
For some it is an acquired taste, but those that have been there generally never come back.
Plus Topre seems to have some of the nicer coloured keycap sets.

Welcome to Geekhack! I have not used a Topre myself but I hear good things. I have been on here only a short while and have been enjoying it quite a bit (my wallet on the other hand is not happy with me). If your into novelty key caps you might want to pick up a board with cherry switches eventually as well as your Topre as they are generally only MX at this time. But who am I kidding, I don't need to suggest a second board, your on Geekhack now, your screwed!!
Cheers

Wow nice buy for your first board. Good luck with it and welcome to GH!
