Title: Lotus Notes
Post by: Trent on Sun, 18 November 2012, 23:31:08
I just lost 5 hours of work.

Is anyone else required to use this wretched program?

I used to develop apps for Lotus Notes waaay back.  No idea if it is any easier, but it used to be a real pain.

We had an old salesman who came into my office one day and said "I've got a problem with Notus Lotes".  Ever since then I've been calling it "Notus Lotes".

'Tis true. I hate how slow my school was to adapt before my boss took over.

Thankfully everyone at my work place is using outlook now. Though we still have a few users that opt to keep lotus notes around (even if they don't use it anymore).

Yea I'm in finance. My previous employer was using Lotus Notes when I was working in the Fixed Income Dept.

I was so glad when I left IBM to never have to use Lotus Notes again. Best part now is hearing the sob stories from the people still using it :(

i know an engineer in a fortune 500 company up until last year they still used lotus, just switched to the microsoft suite, the reason, there were too many complaints from the contrators (of 10 years) that they have to deal with lotus files and conversions.

oh, but they are still fighting to use xp, new dell laptops get downgraded from windows 8 to win xp, i laugh and say, then what is the point of these laptops having 6gb of ram lol.
