Title: Q: Filco failure
Post by: Astrogoth on Thu, 22 November 2012, 21:40:03

I have a 8 month old Filco Majestouch 2 Tenkeyless keyboard. Yesterday it began connecting and disconnecting from its USB port. I traced the fault to a break in the cable just outside the keyboard. It's had light use and shouldn't have failed.

So where can I get a new or slightly used cable?

Thanks all.

Take any USB cable, chop off the end that is not USB A (plugs into the computer), and solder the leads on the keyboard.

i have a number of thick coiled cherry ps/2 cables, not sure what the filco TKL is like but i've used them with my two full-sized filcos without any trouble.  i actually had a filco cable fail too, kind of mysteriously.

if you're interested in one i'd let it go for shipping, i guess, feel free to send me a PM
