Hi there, been lurking for a few days and mechanical keyboards have become a slight obsession of mine over the last few months.
Currently using a Quickfire Rapid with blacks and constantly looking around for cool stuff I'd like to buy but can't afford!
Also wondering if anyone has any idea how to remove the branding on a QFR? I've seen that they're fairly popular round here and curious if anyone has managed it...

Hi and welcome!
One way to remove the branding is to do a lot of sanding. I described the process to another member when I was selling my QFR here: http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=36757.msg695856#msg695856
You could paint your case, but it might peel as the rubberized coating comes off.
I've also seen someone vinyl wrap their QFR. It looked great, but seemed kinda hard to do unless you've had some practice.

Welcmoe to Geekhack!
Top keyboard - I've got one myself 9with branding). Rumour has it that unbranded cases will be available at some stage - if you don't want to try sanding your case, it might be worth waiting for those.
As for keycaps, unless you are really attached to tht font, you will most likely replace them at some stage anyway.

Welcome to Geekhack, hope you enjoy your QFR regardless of the branding.

Yeah I've got no problem with the branding, I think it would be a much sleeker design without it though. I do intend to buy a new keyset at some point, just gonna show some restraint and not buy everything that jumps out at me...
