Title: Logo Design Contest
Post by: i3oilermaker on Wed, 05 December 2012, 14:20:32
I am looking to create an alternate logo that is resembles the techkeys robot, but is more simplistic in design.

[attach=1]

Rules:
1) The design needs to resemble or be relate-able to the techkeys robot (See above)
2) The design needs to be black and white
3) The design can not have fine lines or detail

If a design is submitted that is used, it will be rewarded handsomely with a TechKeys key pack with a retail value of at least $75

Please submit all designs via PM

There is no limit to the amount of entries you can submit.

This implies that you want to be able to use it for cut outs and such, which means that no greyscales can be used. Is that true, or can gradients be used for instance?

I think he might be planning for something else  ;) ;)

And *I think he would like* only b&w, clear borders, smooth edges preferably

Correct - I would prefer no gradients.

My concept:

The wheel is out of perspective and does not have a correct shadow, which will be fixed. The piece in between the key caps will also get a proper shadow.

Edit: Do the parts have to be connected? What size will it be, eg. do the minimum line width need to be larger?

And I was busy with pencil and paper trying to draw up something nice, and then this shows up and crushes my dreams...  :'(

Very nice design, totally different from what I was working on...

I'm going to hazard a guess at doubleshot TeckKeys keys. Two colours only (black and white to submit to SP), no gradients, no fine lines...

If that is true, it needs to be severely simplified. I mean like tiny and with almost no detail.

Edit: Does anyone know how detailed their double shots can be? An example of one of most complex ones made jet for instance?

The keyboard gods must be smiling upon kmiller. The number of times I've seen his name in contests/random number generator sales! Congrats :)
