Hello Geekhackers. I have owned a steelseries 6gv2 with MX Black switches for four months now, and I believe there's some kind of problem going on. It's registering two key strokes when I only pressed once. This was happening on the first days as I was adjusting with the black switches, but I think it's happening more often now, especially the O key, as I often types yaddayadda.coom.
Is this a problem with the keyboard or is it me? Did a quick search on google and didn't find anything about it.

Probably a faulty switch, often referred to as chatter. I would just swap it with something relatively useless like scroll lock if you don't have any spare and don't want to order a new one. It will require soldering to fix it. Alternately if you are not comfortable with repairing it, see about any warranty.

Meh, I think I can live with it. I'm not comfortable with repairing it myself AND the warranty is a problem to me. I live in Brazil and it would took me about four months to send it back and receive it back. If it gets worse and with more switches, I'll just buy a Filco keyboard or something better than steelseries. Didn't make proper research about mech. keyboards and I regret a little bit the mx black and the keyboard itself ):

I see, maybe look around for any electronics repair shops, guitar shops, etc that will likely have someone that is expireinced with soldering to fix it for you. While SS wouldn't be my first choice mostly due to the layout issues they don't seem to be terrible either quality wise. Defective switch can end up in any brand keyboard.

I'll see if it happens with other switches or gets worse with the O. I'm a bit afraid that they could fu... up my keyboard, lol.

If it is faulty and you return it, they should give you a new one.

Like I said, I will stick with it unless it happens to other keys or get worse with the O.

Imported keyboard and besides, Steelseries has no warranty at our country.
Anyway, as people said, it's unfortunately a faulty switch, something that can happen with any brand since it's Cherry who produces them. Just like what happens with some bad OMRON switches as well on lots of brands such as Logitech, Steelseries, Thermaltake, Corsair, Razer, Mionix...
It's something unavoidable, as most companies don't test properly their keyboards before sending them and it's Cherry's fault, not really Steelseries..
What you can really do next time is either buy a keyboard from a company with a good quality assurance control (like FILCO), buy a keyboard from a company that officially sells their keyboard in Brazil and has warranty over here (such as Thermaltake or Cooler Master) or buy a keyboard with a PCB Mount, so it's a lot easier to remove the switches (such as the PLUM 96).

Hello there fellow brazilian. Yes, we have no steelseries support here so I would have to send it back.
Anyway, thanks for the replies guys.
