Title: Commercials on Youtube
Post by: microsoft windows on Sat, 08 December 2012, 08:13:30
Don't they really piss you off? I hate having to sit through some idiotic commercial for some piece of **** I'm never gonna buy almost every other time I watch a video on Youtube. Guess that's what we get for having Google buy them out.

They want to make money from it, I would rather pay to have an advert free version but hey ho.

Adblock.

Yeah, I use adblock too, but it still doesn't block ads from YouTube videos.

Nearly as stupid as sometimes having to input a capatcha due to it claiming there's a high influx of people on my connection using Youtube or some crap.

You sure you're using the right version? It's supposed to block them all and I haven't watched an ad on YouTube in years.

It doesn't bother me so much...I use youtube voluntarily so I know that if I'm using it then I will have to put up with whatever ads/propaganda they are going to try to throw in my face. If I don't like it, I can just close the browser. Just as if you don't like the news, you can just turn off your TV.

Actually, come to think of it, I was thinking of my computer at work.  I don't have adblock on that computer...

I put adblock on my computer at work too. Watching ads is horrendous, but youtube has the worst of the bunch.

Yeah, the amount of ads on YouTube has gotten ****ing ridiculous. If I wasn't so lazy I'd switch to using that other video site, whatever it's called again.

Yes I hate this, pandora too. I started paying the $3 a month to have ad free listening at work and it's worth every cent.

I have an app on my phone that someone modified to remove the ads and allow unlimited skipping.

None of the apps that were posted in the great software thread seem to have commercials.

I just alt-tab until it ends. Much better than having to pay for service.
