Title: Topre keyboard behaving strangely?
Post by: Armagedda on Fri, 14 December 2012, 23:54:36
Ok so I have a Topre Realforce 87U and I just fired it up for the first time and when typing some of the letters produce numbers instead of letters. It's the same keys that offend each and every time when pressed, all other keys appear to be functioning normally. I'm not sure what's going on here, could anyone shed some light?

What are the dipswitches? Those 4 little switches on the back?
If so, they all appear to be in the off position (next to the switch number).

After you mentioned dipswitches I did a quick bit of research and it turns out switch 3 when in the off position enables the numeric keypad. I disabled it and now the keyboard types like a dream. I wasn't trying to waste your time with my lack of research but I had no idea what those switches were called or what they did. Trust me I did do some reading before I put my ignorance on display haha. Anyway, thanks a lot for your time!

For the record I'm on a PC.
