Hi guys, $325 shipped CONUS for this bad boy via PP gift, 3.5% added if non-gift. It's in great shape, no shine, needs to sell by the 19th or it'll sit in my room until 2013. Comes with everything besides the key puller (it's crap anyways, use a WASD one).

Pic quality is terrible, but you know what it looks like. I can try for a better picture tomorrow, but with the weather in San Francisco I can't really get good lighting in my apartment.
Cheers!

Nice price on that. GLWS!!
-
Definitely looks better in person than that pic...

Very sharp board.

Where are you shipping from? Any chance you're in SD, or surrounding areas?

Any interest in partial or complete trades? I have a x79 motherboard, some memory, a case, and a few other components I'm looking to part with...would loooovveee me some Topre.

mmmm want to try 55g, want to love topre like my roommate does.
-
Hi,
Do you ship in Europe by any chance ?
-
Thanks metal for the far superior pic :)
No interest in trades, sorry.
Shipping from San Francisco.
Currently CONUS only at the moment, will probably contact you by Wednesday morning local time if I get no other bites and I change my mind.
-
Aww, I thought you loved this baby. :< GLWS though!
-
Ok keep me posted if you're willing to ship in Europe !
-
Is the same board metal posted?
-
Yes, Metalliqaz posted a better picture of it.
-
Yes same keyboard, same keys. Amazing what a difference camera settings can make, eh? His shows the color of the lavendar WASD better, mine shows the color of the grey keys and blue case better.
Mine is a photo of my own board, Mark's is a photo of the one he is selling.

This is a great keyboard. I love it a lot, but I just never use my Topre boards anymore =/

Poor Topre gets no love:(
-
Damn, I'd seriously be interested, but I just bought the 45g uniform EK Realforce. Does not look as sexy as that board!
-

I've been contemplating buying a Topre board, but it seems that more and more people are saying the exact same thing you are, they just don't use them. Can you tell me why? It is allegedly a great board. If they're so great, why aren't people using them?
-
No idea. I've tried my Cherry boards recently, I can't use them for more than a few minutes at a time.
-
When collections start to get bigger and bigger, people tend to have favorites and it just happened to not be a topre boards. There are still plenty of people that prefers non-Cherry MX boards. :)
I think recently customized/self-built keyboards have been really popular (on GH at least) and Cherry MX keyboards are the easier to customize. But for keycaps there have always been vintage collectors.
-
It's the opposite for me right now, I always come back to my HHKB and Reaflorce. I haven't tried any of the exotic switches like ergo clears, so maybe thats why.....

The evolution of mechanical keyboards as a hobby in the past 2 years (especially on GH) has been modding Cherry MX switches. Topre boards just aren't as versatile for modding. You can do switch replacements or swaps but it isn't nearly as easy as Cherry boards.
Topre keyboards also have like a thousand screws to get through before you even get to the PCB. To me, it just has a lot less appeal in customization and that's really what I enjoy doing these days with keyboards. As the community grows older and stabilized, questions like "what switch would I like" become less and less exciting. What's exciting now is the lust for novelty keycaps and keycap sets....all of which are usually for Cherry MX keyboards.
About 1.5 years ago, Realforce 87U's were the hot sh*t. If you had one, you either imported it from Japan or somehow had the hookup. Now a days, you can buy one for near $250 brand new. I settled for a used 87U for $300+ 1.5 years ago. So the ample supply made the rarity aspect of Topre boards also a little less desirable, maybe.
TL;DR: I wouldn't say there is less of a desire for the Topre switch feel, but more so on ample availability and less customization.

^Well-explained.

And earlier this month, I sold a similar board for $190 shipped.

Currently have someone willing to pay for the asking price in Canada, I'll wait another day to see if I get the same offer from someone in the CONUS. I love the board, but as a graduate student, I can't justify owning this and a Poker. The Poker is a third of the price, but not third of the keyboard which lead to this decision to sell the RF.
I'll definitely buy this exact board again later this year once I graduate and have a job, Topre FTW :)

(Still here if you ship in Europe :D )
