Title: Prices of G80-3000 , 3494 and 1865 in US
Post by: Marclgw on Thu, 20 December 2012, 20:23:04
Hi Guys,

Was wondering how much does the keyboards cost in states?

   Cherry G80-3800
   Cherry G80-3000
   Cherry G80-3494
   Cherry G80-1865

The cheapest price you've ever seen and where did you find it :)

Also the average prices of them in the market .

Feel free to state the type of switches too ( I.e. G80-3000 blue , red etc )

   Thanks!

For a while around 2009/2010, you could get the G80-3000 with blue switches and a Chinese layout for about 65 dollars through a lot of the POS gear vendors who sold other Cherry products.

3800 is import only, as is 3494 which are nearly impossible to find from US etailer. 3000 usually around $80 blue or black only, and 1865 average $120 browns only.

I didn't know that 3800 is an import only , hmm weird.
For 3000 , browns not available only in states?
Lastly , 1865 they comes in blue too but not availablable I guess?

Hmm...

In the US:

No 3494/3600 with Reds.  They were never released here.

The only 3000 we get are the Blues.  No Blacks, Browns, or Clears.

The only 1865 we get are Browns.  No Blues or Reds.

I would love to buy a 1865 with Blacks but they don't even make those in Asia and I've never seen them on Taobao.

As far as i know 1865 comes with Blue and Brown for Asia.

3494 seems to be much more available on my end.

You can find 3000LPCEU which have blacks if you look a bit harder but yes the LSCEU is by far the most common one.
If there is any new Cherry keyboard I would want it would be a G80-3494LYCXY-0/00, 6KRO reds with ANSI blank pbt, but there is no such thing :(

Keyboard company sells the G80-3000LPCXY-2; a 2kro Cherry Black keyboard with blank POM keycaps - but by time you get done with shipping you're look at $130-$140 which is a bit too much for me for 3000 quality.  Under $100 shipped would be preferable.

May I ask how many keyboards you have ever shipped anywhere ?

YOU, of all people should know that good keyboards weigh more than cheap shipping allows for .
Germans are lucky, they can ship to most of the EU at extremely competitive rates.

Me or the OP?

If you are asking me, I've shipped enough to almost cause a divorce.
I was asking you, my point was about shipping-rates in general ..

Please don't mention The Divorce !
There's only ONE reason I'm 'selling' those boards !!
She 'suggest' I do so .. And I did --- Try,  at least .

Oh yeah I know there is the 3000LPCXY-2. You can get them from Asia for less than keyboardco, maybe like $90ish shipped. I prefer the pbt to the pom... they never even made 3000 XY-0 at all only XX-0 in ISO... stupid. Also I won't buy anything with less than 6KRO unless is a vintage board with something else to offer like nice doubleshots or dyesub.
