Those alphanumeric keys look just like these WYSE doubleshots on the keyboard in front of me. Layout looks like an older Cherry board circa G80-0777 (http://deskthority.net/w/images/0/07/G80-0777.pdf). Made in West Germany -- any thoughts?

Well, I'm almost certain those are WYSE keycaps. The colour, shape, font, etc. Look dead on, but that can't be a G80-0777, 'cause this keyboard has two keys on either side of the spacebar (instead of 1). (And for other reasons, no LED's on the tenkey, etc.)
Incidentally, that left shift looks replaced to me. On my older WYSE 'boards, the stepp'd shift was actually stepped, and the unstepped ones had stabilizer mounts.
I'm interested in other's opinions as well.

yeah, just saying it's similar to that layout is all -- definitely doesn't match up with the ones shown in the PDF. i only mentioned that one because i have an amiga g80-0777 (which i'm selling soon someone buy it help).
anyone else, or ARE WE A BUNCH OF SOLDIERS AND NOT COMMANDERS

I had a different Preh commander board...it has cherry stem hammer over rubber dome switches.
Mine had SP doubleshots, but I have seen several other PREH boards with keytronic switches. SP makes those caps as well, so they are indistinguishable until you pull a cap.

that's a good point, sometimes i forget that SP makes keycaps for other stems than cherry, and of course we've all seen cherry-style stems on non-cherry switches.
that probably pretty much settles it. danke schön :)
