Title: Down to the mechanics of keyboards(?)
Post by: BigBrother on Fri, 28 December 2012, 21:44:34
Earlier this year, about June, I bought two of these keys, mounted on a plate (link (http://www.ebay.com/itm/130541363513)), thinking I could make myself a little gamepad or separated keyboard. I never got around to making a PCB or even spaghetti-wiring the thing up for testing.

Now, heading into the new year, I would like to get this started in the least... so I have a few questions:

* If keyboards use solid X,Y lines, how does the controller know which key has been pressed?
* How do I make a PCB for this unit and where would the cheapest 1.6mm prototyping PCB maker be?
