Title: Keycaps in the Movies!
Post by: TotalChaos on Wed, 02 January 2013, 18:19:27
This thread is for posting keycaps from the movies!

Post your fave keycap pix from movies, tv shows, etc.

The new Spiderman movie r0x!  Way better than any of the other Spiderman movies imho.  The Peter Parker character is better and the girlfriend character is better.  The story is long and involved and clearly presented.

And it is the greatest movie of all time because it has an upskirt keycap shot!!!

Here we have an upskirt shot of some keycaps including spacebar with clearly visible stabilizers.

10 points to the first person who can identify if these are Costar or Cherry stabilizers.

This pic was very bright and 100% clearly visible on my movie computer + DLP monitor.  When I copied it over to my coding puter, wow, it is super dark.  I donno if Windoze 7 paint darkened the pic or what?  Maybe it is because I pressed SHIFT+PRINTSCREEN on a rubberdome keyboard?  :p

The keycaps should be 100% clear and bright.  If they look dark to you I can fiddle around trying to brighten it up and repost it.

My favorite use of keys in movies was the scene from Wanted, but lysol covered that one for me. :D

Not a movie, but I always liked how they used exclusively model M's in the early seasons of stargate, IIRC.

When I copied it over to my coding puter, wow, it is super dark.  I donno if Windoze 7 paint darkened the pic or what?
Its probably caused by the video renderer or decoder handling/converting the luma levels wrong (TVs and PCs work with different luma ranges).
Perhaps check the video player options and look out for something like "input/output luma range" or "PC/TV level conversion" to fix it...

So u agree that my original pic is entirely too dark?

Or everyone else's pics are too bright? :)

My opinion is that my pic is too dark.  But I am not an expert so what do I know?

My movie room computer monitor is unbelievably bright.  I have the brightness turned waaaaaaaaaaaay down, else it blinds me.  Certain guests still complain that my monitor gives them headaches and hurts their eyeballs.  Its a DLP monitor and its made to be fully visible and 100% clear outside in direct sunlight.

The movie player used was zplayer.
