Hi there,

I have A LOT of keycaps with me due to a mass order for my country since a 2-3 years ago..
2-3 years ago, I had the intention to be the person who brings key caps to my country but then again the majority of the tech community would deem you as crazy if you spend $100+ on keyboards.
Now I just want to clear all the keys I have and the price I am selling at is a good proof, this is by no means my store front. I hope you/the mods here can understand.

Thanks, but I don't want to inconvenience you with having a bunch of white non-alphabet keys. If you still have them available in 2 weeks or find a buyer for the non-alphabet keys then I'll be happy yo take them off your hands.

Hi Herbyscrub,

It doesn't really have a texture on it, smooth I would say, but not as slippery smooth and "oily" feeling as a double shot ABS key.

The names of the colour I got are direct translation from what KBC has provided to me in chinese.

Anyway arrangement as follows.

Takaki the blue looks like blue in the original photo and almost like cyan in this newer photo. Is there anyway you can line up a single keycap of each color?  :p

they are glued to the foam underneath them so they wont move during shipping

I don't think there is an infill, it just burns the plastic to a darker color.

I've updated the Order Status with the trackings numbers.

I received the 104 keys from the KBC supplier like that, try using a cloth with denatured alcohol. Works better than rubbing with your hands.

Thanks kmiller8 for helping me answer that question, The GoW keys are laser etched, meaning they use a laser to burn the letterings onto the cap and not using infills.

just finished replacing all the keycaps on my filco and it looks absolutely gorgeous and feels really nice now! I must say though that KBT should definitely rethink their keycaps packaging because it was hell to remove the glue from them. they could learn a thing or two from ducky.
for anyone else having a problem with removing the glue I discovered a method that made it much faster.
you should grab one key and start nibbing with your index finger and thumb on the glue until you removed all of it from the key. then you will have a little ball of glue between your fingers. use this ball to remove the glue from the rest of the keys. just stick it to the parts that has glue and peel it off. in the end you will have a large ball of yellow glue so go and stick it on someones shirt after you pretend to pick your nose! just kidding  :p

My order for several sets came in.  They were packaged well.  In addition to what I picked up for myself I ordered a few sets for friends as well, and while I can't say that I've counted through all my friends' sets I have no reason to believe that anything is amiss with them.

In retrospect I think I prefer the laser etched sets some of my friends picked up to the laser engraved sets I got for myself, but that's entirely on me.  Everything came to me exactly as I requested.  There's nothing wrong with the engraved sets either, they're just harder to read in low-light conditions.

I appreciate everyone's monitor is different and so is everyone's perception of colour, so I just wanted to know if the green was a "normal" green or that quite pale but bright green.

Added a red escape key for contrast purposes, but this is pretty accurate imo or at least to my qualia :)
Edit: Actually they're not quite as light as this photo and the black laser ecthing contrasts better than in the photo. Funny how they look exactly the same on my over saturated SGNoteII, but not so much on my Samsung laptop lol

No, I received one "Print Screen/SysRq" and one "Scroll Lock" key with mine, as you would expect.  Sorry that our places aren't switched;  I can't think of the last time I pressed either of those keys other than when pressed the new keycaps down onto them :)

May I ask for the people's opinion in paying in SGD instead, all these USD conversion rates on paypal is driving me nuts.

1.28 to convert sgd to usd but when i convert back, it drops like 8% to 1.20... 8% i lose $80 for every 1k. dudeeeeee paypal wth.

Got my blank black caps in! Numpad 6 was missing and the Adhesive stuck on the bottom of the keys was a bit of a pain to get off.

If you want to remove the gunk easily, just rub bottom of the keys on the same spot of a piece of paper. After about five keys, the gunk will start to form a sticky layer that simply snatches all the adhesive off of the rest of the keys.

White engraved keycaps on my QFR.

The keys came with a lot a glue all over the bottom so I had to manually remove it from each key.

Shipping took about 2 weeks from Singapore -> Washington DC.

I picked it off the first few keys with my fingers until I accumulated a ball of sticky glue that I used to dab off the rest of the keys. I think someone else used that method earlier in this thread too. Cleanest chemical-free method that I could think of.

Just got mine today as well, incredibly fast shipping! The glue is a pain in the ass to get off the bottom of the keys, but overall they look great. Will post pics later!

Here are a few pictures of my space bar. I noticed after cleaning it that it was warped. I am not sure when or how it happened. It doesn't really subtract from the keyset and I am still very happy regardless.

PBT is notorious for producing warped spacebars. It happens during the molding process when the material cools and contracts I believe. You can fix it by heating it with a hair dryer and then placing it on a flat surface. There's been some threads on this and you can see how others have fixed it.

My spacebar from a white engraved set was warped as well. Do you just heat it up and press it on a flat surface at the same time? I stuck in on the keyboard anyway and it is working fine, it just looks a little odd.

Yea my white spacebar is warped too. The other keys aren't that straight either, but it's less pronounced since they're shorter. How do you straighten back the edges? Placing it on a flat surface won't help since it's the sides that aren't straight.

Forgot to post pictures on the weekend. Didn't get chance to set up any proper lighting and my tripod is only a mini one so it was very difficult to get some decent shots. I am just debating whether I should get another set. I just got a white Leopold FC200 Otaku and while I love the board It could do with being a bit more vibrant as the "white" is a very light grey/beige/white.

i can't make new posts, so i'm just letting people know here i have one set each of black blanks and white blanks.  looking for $35 paypal'd and shipped (which saves you about $10 on the original price), $65 for both.

i put them on my keyboard for a couple days, but i prefer cherry profile, and i do too much work in DAWs and sibelius to be able to function without labeled keys.  they're in perfect shape, basically.

i'd be glad to give you a mixed set if you found someone who wants to buy the inverse of what you want.

I know his personal details (from a transaction with him, not from this post), so I just checked out Takaki on facebook, twitter, google, etc.

It seems he's in the military now, and they posted him to a commando unit. Knowing how these things work, he won't have time for anything at all and might be overseas or in some top secret training facility for months without access to the internet.

I don't think it was wise for takaki to take on a group buy when he knew he was about to be called up for service. But most people wouldn't have expected a commando posting (very, very few are 'lucky' enough). The majority who get called up, get allocated places that allow them to check out nightly and go home and live their normal lives.

That's all I have to contribute. Please note that I am not in contact with takaki personally and this is merely what I have deduced from things such as his facebook page.
