Title: Hello
Post by: torusJKL on Wed, 09 January 2013, 01:41:15
I read on some blog how misplaced the capslock key is on today's keyboards.
Which got me thinking on which keys I really need on a daily basis.

I bought myself a Happy Hacking Keyboard Lite 2 and this brought me to this forum.
Looking forward to the new typing experience.

Welcome to Geekhack!

Nice first mechanical keyboard (although technically it is rubber dome, just the ultimate rubber dome) :)

Any custom keycaps yet?

Thanks, I like it's small size allot. And as an emacs user it is great to have Control at a better location.

I don't have any custom keycaps. I was browsing the web but I'm not sure which one would fit.
Any advice where and what to buy?

A good place to start is: http://elitekeyboards.com/products.php?sub=access,toprekeys

And/or browse the classifieds here - people sometimes offer Topre keycaps for sale.  You should be able to post in an existing classifieds thread, you just can't create a new thread until you have at least 60 posts :)

My HHKB Lite 2 does not look compatible with the Topre keys.

Ah, ok, it is the membrane version.

Looks like the Professional series is the Topre one.
