Title: [SOLD] Realforce 87u 10th Anniversary Edition silent, 30g weighting
Post by: khaangaaroo on Wed, 09 January 2013, 14:13:20
I putting this out there to see if anyone would be interested in buying this super expensive keyboard I made for myself. I started out with a silent version of the variable weighted 87u 10th AE. I decided that I really liked the feel of the 30g weighted keys, so I set out to acquire some 30g domes. I ended up importing a 108UDK from Japan to use as a donor board, and split the 30g domes up between two keyboards. So what I have now is a mostly 30g TKL board in ANSI. (I can post a weighting diagram later to show you guys where I distributed the domes.) The only other 30g options at the moment are all Japanese layout, or a very hard to find full-sized 104Pro.

I spent a lot of time and money creating the "perfect" board for myself. I like it so much, put together a second one to bring to work. The reason I'm looking to sell one of them is because I miss all the keycaps and group buys that are only available to mx switches. I'm still going to keep one of the two Realforces, probably forever. But I'm considering selling one.

I'm looking to sell it for $400. I know it's a lot, but that's just about how much I spent on the board and doner domes. If no one is interested, I'm more than happy to just keep it. That's why it's an IC thread. Let me know what you guys think.

Update: I have some new boards on the way, so I decided I'm really going to sell this thing. I'd hate to see it sit in my closet, so hopefully I can find it a nice new home (that isn't someone else's closet.)
$400 shipped in the U.S.

Included is a red esc key, lavender wasd, swapped ctrl/capslock, yellow enter, and original packaging. I'd like to sell it with the white keycaps pictured instead of the original gray keys.

And here's the weight diagram. The difference between 30g and 35g is so small, there's barely any difference in feel between the two.
Only the orange and red keys feel noticeably stiffer to me.

Wow, I'm surprised you're pitching this board after all the work you went through to make the only 30g ANSI 10th anniv. Realforce. Good luck!

Would like to buy this from you, but its one of those things where the cost does not justify the redundancy of Ramen...

I've just received the keyboard.
30g is very light but I like it, although it's easy to mistype.

I go back playing with my new keyboard.

Haha yup, I mistyped a lot when I first started using 30g too. You'll get used to it eventually, and will probably start typing without even bottoming out. (Something I wasn't able to do on 45g for some reason.)

I'm glad it made it all the way to France safely, and that you like it :)
