This will be interesting...

Meh, more iOne trash.

Meh, more iOne trash.
How can you tell its iOne?
-
Bottom row, case styling, keycaps, all just scream iOne to me. Looks like their base Scorpius M10 with some stripes painted on the case.
-
It seems like more hardware companies are realizing the increase in demand for mechanical keyboards and know that there's money to be made. I'll stick to companies who have been building mechanical keyboards for years and aren't just jumping aboard the marketing train.

If that's the case, then that's too bad :< It could be one of the better quality iOnes though, like the ones that Maxkeyboard.com has. Either way, it'll be interesting to see MSI come out with more in the future.

Wow, were mechanical keyboard announcements this frequent in January 2012?
-
Yes there was a lot last year too. Lot's of new stuff get show off at CES.
-
Looks as much like the new CMStorm stuff, too.
-
Seems rather uninteresting.
-
They certainly didn't do their own market research concerning legend fonts and branding.
-
Why would they styled it after the generic $10 rubber dome keyboard design? I mean granted Filco isn't exactly flashy but its simple design at least looks good.
It start to feel like all the companies are jumping in without thinking.

Hopefully Unicomp will pull it's head out of the stand and realize it can start competing!

I wonder what the results would be if you asked people what their first thoughts are on products branded "gaming gear" and such.
I get an instant negative view of it, usually often strengthened by the depiction of a product with "gamer"-design and a bunch of typical buzz-words written at the side. I can't be alone with this, no? I'll have to admit, it has gone to the point where I won't even give a new Razer product a fair chance to prove itself at this point, If for some reason they would launch something new for a change, I would probably count it out without hesitation or consideration. I just realized that about me when I saw the picture.

Well, where does the money come from? For mechanical keyboards, the PC gamer market is full of potential. It's a lot easier to market cheap imported keyboards (Razer BW) with gamer-esque styling (Razer), additional macro functionality and established minimum conventions (NKRO, polling rates, etc, whether justified or not). Unfortunately, Unicomp essentially bought the patents and designs from IBM and stuck with it. None of their models feature the above requirements. And nor does the company have the means to undergo both R&D and marketing for new, improved keyboard designs with modern usage (gaming) in mind.
Without a spark of broad interest and a company willing to take the risk, buckling spring keyboards will continue to be niche, nostalgic artifacts. Cherry MX, more interested in selling electrical components than building keyboards, is more than happy to allow their MX switches to be used everywhere for any purpose.

I like the "touch me: cherry red switch" Feel the cloud of boobs.
-
Omg... 128k memory.. w00000000...
-
Lettering... on the number row... so ugly!
-
Unicomp should probably add some stripes to their boards.
I've heard that stripes adds a few fps to your pc, and improves key stroke recognition speed by 50%

Sigh.

If you're referring to this thread, it's been around since January, far longer than the one that was recently posted.

I'll have to admit that I permabanned all Razer products from obtaining any money from me. Ever. Even unto the end of time.
Razer trojan mouse fiasco ripoff scam malware garbage. And I am not talking about their claim of being hacked that one time. I am talking about their intentional malicious crapware. In case you never heard about it, I don't have time to find a good article about it but here is a link to point you toward the right direction, if you are interested. https://www.google.com/search?q=razer+trojan+mouse&rlz=1C1CHFX_enUS525US525&aq=f&oq=razer+trojan+mouse&aqs=chrome.0.57j0l3.6013j0&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8#hl=en&rlz=1C1CHFX_enUS525US525&sclient=psy-ab&q=razer+mouse+requires+internet+connection&oq=razer+mouse+requires&gs_l=serp.1.0.0l2.41255.44802.1.49550.18.7.0.10.10.2.201.1272.0j6j1.7.0...0.0...1c.1.12.psy-ab.-_xBJTrKMuM&pbx=1&bav=on.2,or.r_qf.&bvm=bv.45960087,d.eWU&fp=894acd4e2e8a37b2&biw=1191&bih=963 (https://www.google.com/search?q=razer+trojan+mouse&rlz=1C1CHFX_enUS525US525&aq=f&oq=razer+trojan+mouse&aqs=chrome.0.57j0l3.6013j0&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8#hl=en&rlz=1C1CHFX_enUS525US525&sclient=psy-ab&q=razer+mouse+requires+internet+connection&oq=razer+mouse+requires&gs_l=serp.1.0.0l2.41255.44802.1.49550.18.7.0.10.10.2.201.1272.0j6j1.7.0...0.0...1c.1.12.psy-ab.-_xBJTrKMuM&pbx=1&bav=on.2,or.r_qf.&bvm=bv.45960087,d.eWU&fp=894acd4e2e8a37b2&biw=1191&bih=963)
Companies that pull this kind of crap, intentionally selling self-destructing spyware mice, should never get any money from anyone for anything, ever. Stop supporting criminals.
Let the good guys have your money, they need it.
-
looks like its from IONE, just from the same layout all these other guys use. I can not confirm that though.
I still think the Corsair K70 and K95 are still a better option than this. (of recent launched keyboards).
