Looks like a standart scissor switch keyboard with a wood case and keycaps. But i have to agree, it looks classy.
-
Would think it would need a durable finish so the keys and case don't discolor from your hand oil.
-
I wonder what it sounds like

Like a hardworking grade 12 woodshop class.

The Verge just posted about this:
http://www.theverge.com/2013/7/5/4494966/oree-wooden-keyboard-gets-pop-up-tokyo-workshop
Basically The Verge is blind to Apple Designs. They are convinced that 1 Infinte Loop can do no wrong.
Dont get me wrong, apple makes beautiful computers, they just make **** keyboards.

Who would buy this?

Love the caption: "This is not made out of unnatural materials like plastic or metal — it's a living thing," says Takata. "It's not static, it moves, it grows."
I can just imagine waking up one morning to find a few shoots growing out the side of the keyboard.
-
So metal is not a natural material now
-
wow! amazing,bro! more pics plz@ :D

I'm working on a Gh60 case right now. I think I'll be doing a phantom as well, but I'm not sure yet

That sounds awesome. Make sure you give us lots of pics when you're done.

Too many splinters from when I was younger, I'd actually rather not.
I'm sure someone posted this but:

There's actually a lto of wooden non-mechanicals out there too

Durp. Make it out of micarta and hand oil will "improve" it. :))
Also- EWWWWWWWW it's made for Macs and you buy it with that croissant money (€).

...splinters

Looks dull. They could have at least picked a better wood to do this with - ebony or snake wood would have been killer. Ten times more expensive yes, but killer.
-
Looks really good, but not sure about the chiclet design...
-
I dont know what to think :-\
-
damnnnn this keyboard is hella sick

My keyboards grow mold in my basement, so I don't see why these wooden keyboards wouldn't grow either.
