Hmm...... that's neat... not sure I want that layer though at the cost of image quality no doubt.

I read about them a while ago, although back then they were focusing on braille writing to enable blind users to use phones/tablets or ultimately make a device made especially to help just then. I wonder if they dropped it for some reason. I kind of liked the idea.

I'd rather type on a flat screen than bumps like that. What'd I'd REALLY like to see is a screen that has the keys slightly depress when striking them. That would be revolutionary.

In a sense the BlackBerry storm achieved this, albeit one key.....

Yeah, but I'm talking the whole keyboard, with individually depress-able keys.

My roommate had one, I thought it was the neatest thing.

I had one as well and it really was cool, until the floating screen attracted so much dust underneath that after a while you couldn't use the screen.

that is pretty cool though imo not all that useful. I wonder how will they handle the flipping of the screen because it seems like the bumps are placed only in one side of the device and a static.
