They started a new subforum on KBC about it. I did see the thread about the board on pcwaishe first of course.
Some talking points:
1.独立方向键
Separate arrow keys
2.全键位背光【7级调节】
Completely backlit with 7 levels of brightness
3.USB固件可升级
Updatable firmware
4.全键位【除去Fn和Pn】可硬件编程 并且无需安装任何软件
All keys (except for Fn and Pn) are fully hardware programmable.
5.带三段延时编程 15ms 100ms和500ms
Delays for macro.
6.Fn层全键位【除去Fn和Pn】可编程 并且无需安装任何软件
Fn layer is fully programmable.
7.编程直接表达模式【比如把A编程为 “我喜欢poker ” 那么Fn+A=我喜欢Poker 在激活编程表达模式 直接按A就是 我喜欢Poker】
This is just use case example for programming a macro.
8.带钢板
Plate mounted
9.Fn和Caps互换 各自的系统灯也交换【由dip开关来实现】
Fn and Caps locks switch via dip switch. The LED indicators will also switch positions.
10.由我本身亲自设计并且品控
Designed and QCed by "brother meat"

I am not sure if this is the refined version of the keyboard I had my hands on. There is always a chance this is one of the other 60% board I've heard about.
-
Can't wait to see the finished product but I'm not too sure if I want my Poker 2 to be QC'd by "brother meat". lol

Brother meat does all the lubing of the switches!
-
More like a new Race to me. :)

Uh. No.

where does it say his name is 'brother meat"

^ TP, read the last line in OP.
-
I wonder if "upgradable firmware" will lead to programmable LED patterns. :O
-
Tinlong mentioned this keyboard to me last week and said it would be called Poker S

but that chinese above it does not translate to "brother meat", which is why I asked, if they mentioned a guy named brother meat ;D

Very exciting. Thank you laffindude. :-*

I am definitely interested to see how this all fits together with the arrows :)

I hope you're a beautiful lady, or I am gonna have to duck ;o
Haha. I am hoping you win Glissant's Poker case so I could finesse your silver Pure case from you ;)
http://www.pcwaishe.cn/thread-454425-1-1.html go through that one if anybody wants to know more.
Things I skimmed:
Apparently it could be called Pure Pro OR Poker 2, depending on location and language layout.
Poker Pro seems to be Poker 2 without LED and programmability.
There is also going to be an updated version of Poker with the original layout.
ABS and PBT versions.
"Development version". Not exactly sure what it is, but sounds like DIY board with customizable layout.

If you mean his Duck Poker case, you'll have to get in line behind me. :)
-
Nah. His stock silver case.

You better duck because I'm comin' after you like a spider monkey! :p
*ahem*
OK, that got weird. ;)

Brother Meat, depending on the precise words, could sound something like the words for slicing flesh/meat/skin.
-
Plate + Macros excites me greatly =D
-
Im really excited about this depending on the looks.

Worst case scenario, change the case?
But I think its more the keyboard layout for 60% boards, as otherwise its pretty much the same (or correct me if I am wrong haha :D).
-
For the most part it's the same, but there have been more unconventional 60% keyboards, like the Leopold FC660M and the Matias quiet/laptop pro

Yeah true.
I'm really not a fan of the Leopold FC660M. Looks pretty random :(

I just don't want it to look like the Race. I think that might be one of the ugliest boards ever.

Idk. It isn't too bad. I have one. But I think it doesn't look that good because its 75% and not 60%. Too many keys, and too many random sized keys in the wrong places doing random shiz.

Will the new Poker 2 keyboard have phantom-style plates to allow servicing switches ?
-
Dedicated arrow keys. Finally!!!!! Looks like this new poker and/or the new leopold will definitely be my next purchase. Is there any info on the ETA on these?
-
please convince the mighty KB gods to slap the programmable and upgradeable features into a pure >.<

Is this it: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Free-Shipping-PC-Accessories-Ikbc-kbc-poker-mini-61-pro-2-ii-poker-professional-second-generation/684290146.html

No. That's the old Poker model. The new one has dedicated arrow keys.

Ah ok, false advertising :P

I don't see that happening on a production board any time soon.
-
Well, except for WASDkeyboards, I think the v2 will have phantom-style plates ... and hopefully will start a trend !
-
Given that most of Vortex's boards have LEDs, don't you have to desolder the LED to open the top of the switch?
If so, I think a serviceable plate is rather moot.
-
Yup, on a backlit board it doesn't make sense... unless a manufacturer can find a way to make the LED's pluggable/unplugabble without soldering. It should be doable... like solder some kind of tiny surface mount connector on the PCB that allows LED's to be pushed in and out.

Is that confirmed?

If you want to make your Pure programmable, I don't think it'll happen. The MCU is an one time programmable device. You could always toss in a teensy and jumper wire it to the matrix. You would be better off with just buying a GH60 in that case. Programmable boards in standard layout is just matter of time though ;)

You be the judge:

It's a good sign for sure, but I'll wait on his confirmation :) This isn't a dig at Weyman, but stuff he wanted have fallen through before, such as PBTs. If indeed it has the phantom plates, I'll poke some people about them and may be we'll see it on some future boards.
-
What do phantom style plates look like? Thanks.
-
There's a few variations floating around, but basically the switch openings are not pure rectangles like in traditional cases, but have recesses to allow opening up cherry switches (whose tabs need some room to be opened for the upper switch housing to be pulled out)

Based on all the information I gathered from the web, it seems very likely that Poker II (or Poker pro) won't have the same layout as the original Poker, which ruins it all. Better count on GH60 bros.
-
I am gonna close this thread, since it is no longer relevant. What was described in the OP will not be called Poker2, but Pure Pro. Poker 2 will have standard layout like the original Poker.
