Only $240? Not a bad price at all!

Ah.. that design must cut down on price dramatically.. no curve, and the bottom plate is just flat screw in.

Is it a bit "too simplistic" I mean... simple's good.. but I'd like a slight touch of flair.. This just screams, Rectangle.. hmm...

Well, if it's <$300 shipped from China, I'm sold.

where do you see the price???

¥1328.00 - 1428.00 = $215 - 230
Then you will have to add shipping and Taobao agent fee

I like how flat the board is. Odd that the board don't have the nipples for indexing.
Someone buy one and open it up.

Buy it for the case only!

It is cheaper than the MKC filco case... But the question remains if it fits :))

Actually I have purple backlit Ducky caps coming in the mail, with no backlit board. And I have been wondering about getting a green led board for them. I love my purp  N green!

I sent him a message about getting one through him instead of taobao, hopefully I get a reply soon.
Also, would kill to get it made with green switches, the green machine!

These bad boys. I got them, just because I love them and had nothing to use them on.

Possibly, but I was thinking more along the lines of Barney the big ol' purple dinosaur. Either way, it'll be my sweetness.

GB!!
Absolutely.
So long as it can fit Filco/QFR internals (or even if it just has decent internals), it's well worth it.

Actually, at that rate, it's not a bad deal to build a custom board around. A custom pcb, custom controller, some keycaps and you have an aluminum Phantom for relatively cheap.

Yeah, so do we know if this would it a phantom pcb?  Wasn't there something about having to modify a filco case to make the phantom pcb fit? I believe it had to do with where the filco puts its controller by the arrow keys.  Would that prevent this from working?

The Phantom controller extends quite a ways below the PCB, where Filco only has the cable coming out the bottom and the controller on top above the arrow keys.

This keyboard is more likely similar to a Filco, but regardless, it will depend on how deep it is inside.

It's not deep as you can see from the pics.  It's a flat case, no angle at all so no space underneath at the back edge.

You're right, there is no chance of putting a Phantom in this without cutting a hole in it.

You guys don't think it's "TOO" rectangular?

I mean.. it's the "ugly" kind of rectangle.. as opposed to the usual "good" rectangle we like

The bezel is the same width on all sides.. I don't like that... it looks bad..  >:D

If any of you guys know Chinese, I'd describe it as 看上去很傻。。。。。

White people do not put that through the translator, it will not translate properly. Closest English translation would be Carlos Mencia: De-DeDe

Yeah I agree too rectangular. Good description btw. It's silly/awkward looking I guess.

I agree, but it's the only kb with a metallic case (not custom) and also backlit, wish some other vendor will follow

what I'm saying is there is a certain Proportioning of "the bezel" which looks GOOD.. usually you aim to strike a balance using the golden ratio...

Now, in the case of "this case", it just looks "OFF"

I used the very imprecise terms "too rectangular" just to point out it's odd looking proportions..

Alternative as in other cases.
The alternatives at the moment are pretty much this or Vortex if you want a brand new aluminum case.

It's indeed a full keyboard. And once Feng is back up and at 100%, he will be doing a GB for them, and most likely answer all of our questions.

Mmmmm I'm split on this one.  On one hand it's awesome that they're releasing their aluminum case again.  But on the other hand I think the last case they made for Filco just feel a lot more "oomph".

Less than 20$ for a mechanical KB with a metal case could have been a hint. ;)

idk i just kindof figured the prices of rubber dome keyboards in the US were the price of mechanical there. since theres actually a market there. plastic needs to stop being so expensive  :(
