nice! i love single speed... not least because i hate working on derailers, but mostly for simplicity, lack of failing parts, and cost.

Agreed. The simplicity and ease of maintenance are fantastic. The Sanderson was my first ever attempt at building a bike from the ground up. Really good experience, and the end result is great too. No derailers makes for an easy build :-)
Tried to continue the simple/rugged theme with other component choices too- mechanical disc brakes rather than hydraulic, rigid forks rather than suspension etc.
Have some great riding in Australian bushland, but would love to take on some tracks in US and Canada one day.
