I'm looking for Cherry MX Reds, Browns, blacks, etc. hopefully at cheaper than 1.75 per piece, as I do want to buy more than 10. Is there any other website other than Mouser and Digi-key? They both don't seem to carry Reds. I need them to be plate mounted with no PCB pins, just the two contacts and the center protrusion.
Or, if anyone is willing to sell me some Reds, Browns or blacks I would be highly interested, all plate mount of course. Thanks. Also looking for LEDs for Ducky Shine II? I want to change out a few of mine.

7bit has a rolling switch buy on DT - don't know what he has in at the moment, but he's constantly getting in new stock. Mostly at EUR 0.65 / each.

Yeah 7bit has the best prices outside of getting lucky on a cheap full board to disassemble. LINK (http://deskthority.net/marketplace-f11/cherry-mx-taking-pre-orders-t2760.html)

Also, if you're looking for plate switches there's nothing wrong with buying whatevers cheaper and if it's PCB just cutting the 2 plastic pins off.

Have you seen WASD (as you are quoting $1.75 each, which is their single price)?
They do discount - $1.40 each for 10+, $1.10 for 25+, 90c for 50+, 80c for 100+ (for blacks, at least).

For sure, thanks for everyone's input! :)

is this the cheapest place to get a single set? or is it mostly just for rarer switches?

I think all switches in general. Definitely a good source for the rarer switches no doubt.

7Bit has a flat shipping cost, so for a few switches, WASD may be cheaper, but it doesn't take many before 7Bit is cheaper and he has a bigger selection.
Another issue is time, WASD may take as little as 2 days, 7bit can take 1-2 weeks.

If you want blues, I bought from onlinecomponents.com (http://www.onlinecomponents.com) a few months ago. I got 250 blues for USD$.62 each (incl shipping). They have others, but you have to know the cherry part number, and stock is iffy. Could be worth a look though.
edit:
I can recommend buying from 7bit, I got Reds and Blacks from him, but as Leslieann said, it can take time.
Also, to go along with the ErgoDox Massdrop group buy, they are currently offering (for the next 7 days) batches of 10 switches for $5.90 (shipping appears to be a flat $4 in the US). You have to have an account to see the info, but you can always use a throwaway account if you just want to browse around.

Here's what it says for that particular buy:
We can offer blue, black, and red Cherry switches in this group buy. The switches in this buy are plate mount. They will be sold in packs of 10 so you have the opportunity to mix and match by placing multiple orders. We only have 1500 red switches allotted for this buy so get in fast if you want the reds.
