I was looking up guitar paint jobs and I came across this. I thought it would look pretty cool on my QFR case. I was wondering if anyone had any advice or any kind of experience doing something like this?

That was friggin awesome! I'd love to try that out some day on one of my keyboards.

I've been watching a hell of a lot more videos of swirl paint dipping. That same guy did it to an XBOX casing. There's also people who do it to cell phone cases using plastidip for a primer and nail polish for the dip then rustoleum for a clear coat. We'll see when I get the balls to do it myself.

I saw one guy who did it to a ukulele, a wine case, a rifle stock and silencer, an xbox case, and a bunch of guitars.
-
yeah that guy does it the "proper" way since he's working with wood. I don't know if that would work the same on plastic.

There's no single method for swirling. Try looking through jemsite or other guitar forums for tips. With some skill you can get truly impressive results:

If you figure out how to do it for your QFR, I'll do it to my Filco case. :p
