If so, what console and what games are you currently playing/looking forward to?

Playstation 2. I'm working on fully unlocking Pop'n Music 9, 10, and 13.

i recently aquired a free ps3 and used to play Dark Souls and now Ni no Kuni

I play a lot of console games on my PC with a 360 pad, does that count?
And by console games I am referring to games made with console in mind, such as a lot of third person shooters, platformers etc. Something like Darksiders plays better with a console pad.
Other than that I can't say I bother playing console much, but I'm wanting to get a PS3 because there are some interesting games on it.

I've got all of the modern consoles and I seem to go through phases of playing loads and then not touching them for months. At the moment I'm preferring older consoles - I'm currently playing Goldeneye on the N64 :cool:
When I go to my friends house we play on the original xbox as well, not really sure why.
Main gaming is done on PC though and the steam deals make it all too easy to keep buying even more games to play :))

I got a PS3 around 2009. Before then I was pretty much an exclusive PC gamer since 2000. I made the switch when I felt like PC gaming was starting to die.
I also only seem to game in phases. I'm looking forward to Aliens: Colonial Marines and The Last of Us for PS3.

Seriously, though, I've got a 360, but I rarely play it. It worked well as a steaming video unit until my LIVE expired, so we got a Fire HD that does the same thing.
I've got a smattering of older consoles, mostly nintendo, from way back to NES laying around in one place or another in my "ownership" but some of them are at my parents place. I've got an NES and a N64 hooked up with a box of games that i'll pull out and play on an old TV if i'm feeling nostalgic. Does that count?

Counts in my book. I've kept my PS2 and most of the games for it just in case I ever feel like playing those again. I still have a Dreamcast and Shenmue, probably my favorite game back when I was in middle school.

Yep, PS3 player here, I'm excited about this too. I'm on the fence about whether or not I should pre-order and get the bonus content. I want to see some reviews first before I finally make up my mind and spend 60 bucks.

**** no, Alien(s) shouldn't just be being used for more generic FPS's that want to ride on the success of one FPS title. Was looking forward to this game but after following it, its abuantatally clear that the dev's have litteraly zero intention in making it a good horror FPS title, and instead want to just make a generic FPS game where instead of shooting terrorists, you shoot xenomorphs..
...oh and yeah I'm a gamer and so by definition have been playing console games since really the PSX... HUGE MGS fanboy so have to go with way of the PS3 but no have a 360 too, just getting into Ni-No Kuni and really looking forward to MGR!

i keep my ps2 around (plugged into my gamestationswitch) for ddr and ffx. kind of sad, but the wife wanted to go on a jrpg binge and surprisingly 2012 was the year of jrpg for the wii last story and xenoblade chronicles (had to ebay for this one)... these 2 games using the most of the wii technology, looks as good as ffx, a 10year oldgame... jeez nintendo! (i have both ps2 and wii on component, and everything else in hdmi, so it's not crappy connections, i even have the ps2 on digitalout, but mainly thats cuz it is a ddr machine... need the music)

Why bother posting about not being a console gamer and spout bull****? Yeah my PS3 and 360 isn't as poweful as my rig thats almost as old but who the **** cares, thats not why people console game.
And yeah I have PS3 titles that run at better than 30fps.

Only console I had is PS2, and that was only to play Burnout 3: Takedown. Everything else is better on PC.

i never said they were optimal. i have 3 games for my ps3. demons souls, dark souls and ni no kuni. 2 are exclusives and one of them only has a total **** pc port. everything else i play on PC but not having a console for exclusives in addition to your pc is ultimate poor*** pleb tier

Used to have a Dingoo A320 with tons of emulators to play ancient games, but hate modern consoles with a passion (the only good thing is some progress in controllers, e.g. Kinect and the Wii thing).
