Great new test board. Comes with a plethora of switches... wonder what that'll feel like to type on..

It actually isn't that crazy...it is essentially a Red board with Black larger keys...Some funky mix of function keys which won't matter since they're not pounded like normal keys....then brown arrows and others..then blue numpad...

Usability wise I think it would be fine...Even the different LED colors don't seem to be a big deal the way they've done it...

Er, guys?

Those are MX Whites (not Clears) on the Function keys. So it's not funky at all.

Main Set: MX Red (45cN)
NumPad: MX Blue (55cN Clicky)
Modifiers: MX Black (50cN Linear)
Arrows: MX Brown (55cN I think? I forget. I hate browns. I know that.)
Function: MX White + MX Green (80cN Clicky - so essentially the same. Whites are just quieter.)

Which leaves me going: where'd they put the MX Gray? Escape?

I like how they're sort of matched the LED colour to the switch colour.

Yeah thats what I like too, and the ability to try 8 switches on 1 board. It is not practical by any sense but I would love one for the collection.

I enjoy the reds on my poker and the clicky blues on the numpad make sense to me. I know a lot of you don't like all the flash of fancy LEDs and multicolor vomit like stuff so I'm opening myself up to ridicule here but I love that! This looks like the perfect board to hold all my novelties and demonstrate the different switch types to friends of mine who don't "get it".

Since it's a MX Red board it's somewhat usable... probably the most usable mixed-switch gimmick board. Hideous though!

Also, they missed Tactile Greys.

e: actually, the Tactile Grey comes on a keychain with the 'board!

Only 78 worldwide?!  C'mon, give us more than that.  Definitely a collector's item, and it would be a great showpiece to test switches.  Actually, instead of resellers like mechanical keyboards selling this, they ought to just do a 10 day rental or something if they get their hands on one..  Put a full deposit down plus rental fee, and you can test it to see which switch you like, send it back, and then order what keyboard you really want.

It's like one of the devs at Ducky ate a huge bag of skittles and then threw up and said "ooo colors!" I'd go for the board if it didn't have all the different colored LEDs.

Wow...

Typically when you see a board like this it's for demo purposes at a trade show.  I specifically asked Ducky about mass producing the Shine II at Computex with the rainbow LED effect across the Function keys.  They informed me it was way too costly due to potential errors in production.  The rest of the board was White LEDs - it looked pretty awesome.

If these are indeed available, I have to imagine the price will be significantly higher.

I think it's cool, but I wouldn't want 7 different types of switches on my board, but that's just preference.

Also, when they said 7 color LED, I thought they meant RGB LED so you can tune each LED to whatever color you want.  This is not the case! That's not cool.  I'll wait for that.

The fact that it's so limited, definitely increases its desirability!  That said, I'd like one  :D

It would be awesome if keyboard type used could be calculated into online ranking scores.

Haha yeah like in added skillpoints.

But would be crazy as **** to have like a = red switch, s = blue switch, d = black switch, f = brown switch and so on.

To play on that would be ****ing horrible.

it would look pretty cool with some blank white caps so the lights only shine underneath the keys.

no that's the linear Dark Grey. The only Tactile Grey is the keychain that comes with the keyboard.

I find it somewhat saddening that you can get a keyboard with seven different colors and eight different switches-- seriously, what's the point?-- but a TKL with MX switches and a pointing stick, which would actually be a useful product, is completely nonexistent, both in production keyboards and customs.

It seems to be a collector's item, so that kind of explains the absence of logic.

Your Price:    $147.00
Stock:    5+ in stock

As a newbie to mechanical keyboards, I'm quite tempted. Seems like a neat collector's piece, plus the ability to test all those switches and LEDs would be really nice.

I replied in your review thread too... but I love this board!  Out of all the Cherry switches on this board, I think I'm liking Cherry MX Green the best. :)
